"We received a lovely warm welcome. Lovely hotel. Nice location close to the beach. Lovely comfortable rooms with small en suite bathroom. Big plus for me was the kettle with plenty of tea, coffee and milk in the room. Will definitely book again when coming to Devon."
"The chalet was beautiful and very clean and tidy. Around 5 miles from a large Tesco in Ilfracombe was brilliant. Very cosy and peaceful. Loved it. The roads are very steep but easier to manage after the first time."
"This is a lovely tucked away chalet bungalow park. Handful of properties. Very nice location. Everything you need is in the property. Decent WiFi.
Double bed was average comfy. The single beds were great memory foam.
We would definitely go back and highly recommend this place.
Peaceful location. Birdsong and nature as a backdrop.
Loved it."

"We ensured we arrived before 17.00 hours as the hotel has no-one on reception from 17.00hrs onwards. We felt this was a little restrictive although the Ancient Mariner staff were available to a later time in the evening. We found it convenient to have restaurant and bar food available at the Ancient Mariner and can thoroughly recommend it too.
Breakfast is served between 8.00 and 10.00, a decent interval of time. The staff were pleasant and friendly but service for the hot food was a little slow at times. The choice of cereals, juices, fruit, croissants was plentiful and the hot food was very tasty.
The room was not huge (after all we were in the 'Snug'!) but it was sufficient, while a second comfy chair would have been welcome. The WiFi worked perfectly well.
The hotel was a very convenient base for exploring the beautiful local area. Again, the staff were good at directing us to the local car-parks and advising us we might consider a 4 day pass from the tourist office, Worth noting that car-parking is free by the roadside from 1st November to Good Friday."
"The Cedars Inn provided comfortable and clean accommodation for someone in transit. Food in bar good and tasty. Accommodation price was at the upper end for what was provided, compared to other places we stayed in Devon And Cornwall."
"We recently stayed at Croyde Bay, and our family room offered everything we needed, including a fridge, alongside all the usual essentials like an ironing board, hairdryer, and kettle. There was even an extra heater and a fan provided if needed. It was clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable.
The facilities were perfect for our family. The swimming pool area was warm, clean, and well-maintained, complete with tidy changing rooms, sun loungers, a sauna, steam room, and hot tub. While we didn't use the gym, it looked amazing. Outside, the grounds and gardens were beautifully kept, and the outdoor play area, activities, and arcades kept the family thoroughly entertained. It was fantastic being so close to the beach; I just wish we had chosen a week with better weather!
The buffet breakfast offered everything you could possibly want, nicely cooked and presented, with particularly amazing poached eggs! Dinner was equally good, and I highly recommend the chorizo and honey pizza. Above all, every member of staff we interacted with was remarkably friendly, helpful, and accommodating.
The only drawback occurred on our final night when some teenagers were running through the corridors banging doors. While not ideal in general, it was made worse when it woke and frightened our four-year-old, leaving us struggling to get him back to sleep.
Despite that, it was a fantastic stay, and we are already looking at when we can return!"
