Honestly, I needed a last minute, safe place to sleep overnight. The Red Roof met those needs. First, it's difficult to see that the property is open for business. It's set off a driveway between it and another hotel. Next, you check in at the office, but it's located in what looks like a house. The room itself was ok; I ended up in a smoking room despite not smoking. It really smelled bad, and this is coming from a former smoker. The sheets were stained with something brown, and the comfortable was missing. The area itself seems super sketch. There are a lot of unhoused people around and it also appears that the hotel is used for vouchers or short term rentals reimbursed from government, etc. Long story short, make sure you lock your door and follow the normal precautions you would take. Extra precautions would not help. The staff were nice polite, so that was appreciated.

For people that want an affordable stay where you can pull up to your room, this is the place. The bed was clean and comfortable, they provide a good source of cable tv, with microwave and refrigerator. My only complaint is the cleanliness of the bathroom, particularly the bathtub, they have to do better with the communication to the housekeepers. Okay so one more piece of advice, run a mop over the linoleum floor, which is a good upgrade considering it’s a pull up to establishment.

It was late when we arrived and check in went ok but our room was not clean. There was something all over the floor in the dressing area that looked like someone had shook a bottle and opened it and let it spray everywhere so we had to wear shoes to walk around. Then, the next morning, we went to get our continental breakfast and everything had an out of order sign on it and I asked the attendant if they at least had coffee and he curtly said NO. We were running short on cash so the breakfast was the main reason we chose that hotel.
