Fantastic friendly place

Great hostel , spotless , good breakfast and a really friendly team of girls and boys , only thing I would alter is some slightly more comfortable seating in the chill out area, love the stacks of pallets , but something with a squishy back rest would be just perfect for the older bums ! :)

incredibly clean, comfortable, friendly staff

everything was perfect and brand new! incredibly comfortable bed, hot and cold showers, air con in dorms, universal powerpoint and reading light next to every single bed, provided locker and key to store your bag, very very very helpful and chatty staff! an the breakfast was nice with lots of fruit :)

Great utilitarian hostel

Bunkyard Hostel was the best! Really gorgeous place, lovely helpful staff and super comfy beds and warm showers. Can't fault this place! The location is off a small residential road so its nice and quiet, no road noise at night. Short walk away from nice places to eat and attractions in Colombo. Had a really nice, chilled, laidback vibe and awesome decor.

Awesome New Hostel With Great Facilities

Service: 5/5 - Super friendly staff. Arriving at 3am after a bit of a long journey from the airport, I was welcomed and promptly shown to my own dorm as there weren’t many people staying at the time - WIN! Very knowledgable about Colombo and Sri Lanka, and gave me lots of tips on where to go during my visit. Value: 4/5 - This brand new hostel offers great value for money. The facilities are all new and well thought out. I would have liked breakfast to have a little more included. By the time I got down for breakfast, there wasn’t a great deal left to eat. Cleanliness: 5/5 - Exceptionally clean - just as a hostel should be. Hopefully this is kept up when the Hostel is full to capacity. Amenities: 4/5 - Beds were very comfortable, the AC works very well, a plug with 2 outlets and an individual light is available at each bed. The only thing I would have liked is a small shelf to put stuff on. Shower pressure was AWESOME, and a towel is provided - which is great, and should be standard in a hostel! There are places to chill downstairs making it pretty social, however, there weren’t many people staying so didn’t get the chance to do so. Location is excellent - Google seems to have the wrong location, showing the hostel slightly further down the road than it actually is. Look for the Lionel Wendt Art Centre and it’s right next door. Also, Google/Hotels.com have the wrong telephone number. Wifi worked well, but is only available downstairs
