A Great Stay

I stayed at this hotel for two nights from 13th to 15th Feb 2020. Although a little distance from the city center, it is a beautiful hotel with excellent, courteous and helpful staff ever eager to serve. The rooms are clean,spacious and thoughtfully appointed. The breakfast is great,offering many choices. It was a wonderful stay

Had requested a King size bed but got 2 single beds which was a bit too narrow. Otherwise found the hotel neat and clean and staff efficient. Also found your checkout process quick and efficient . Unlike many hotels which keep you waiting for 15/20 minutes till they check your room physically - which is very irritating !!

It was a decent hotel and well worth the price. However it is well out of central Colombo (but only a cheap Tuk-Tuk ride away, maybe 10 minutes) The rooftop bar is decent, nothing fancy though. All in all, a decent stay for a decent price.

Guard your stuff!

The hotel is clean and the service was good. But, our laptop was stolen the day we checked-out and we went to the local police station to file a police report and the police told us that there have been other cases related to theft in this hotel. So, if you plan to stay here make sure to guard your stuff pretty well. Other than that, there was nothing wrong with the hotel. Wifi was good, bathroom and the room was clean. There was no microwave in our room but we had a mini-fridge, electric kettle, and a tv.

A lovely city hotel where I always prefer to stay at in Colombo. From the first moment I walked into this hotel I found the service and the personal greetings were just amazing... The food and service were fabulous. Breakfast is excellent with an outstanding service. Special thanks to the friendly and really helpful staff who always ready to help.. I would recommend this to anyone travelling to Colombo.

The location and staffs were great. Clean rooms. I wish the housekeeper wouldn't knock on my door 9am in the morning askingif i need my room to be services everytime i dont put a "do not disturb" sign out.

A little bit remote location so you have to take tuktuk to main attractions. The hotel did not prepare a baby cod for our infant and could provide it only for the last night. The breakfast was running out 30min before end time, but luckily by asking we could get enough to eat.

Vi förbokade hemifrån transfer från flygplatsen till hotellet, det funkade utmärkt. Vänligt bemötande vid in-checkning och snabb hjälp till rummet. Det var helt och rent med en skön säng, inga störande ljud. Till frukost serverades en okej buffé mot tillägg. På kvällen fanns möjlighet att äta middag på hotellet, det fanns inte några andra restauranger i direkta närområdet.

Warning - avoid if you're sensitive to fragrances

I stayed here 3 years ago and it was nice, but now it has come down very badly. The odor of a fragrant chemical pervaded the lobby and my room. This wasn't due to a puff of nasty air freshener; a lady from the front desk explained that it was mopping fluid. They said they'd send someone up with a mop without the chemical, but no one came, so I washed the floors in my room and bathroom (3 times) myself with a towel. The drain in the bathroom sink runs slow. The desk chair won't hold its height; I was typing with my chin on the desktop and my arms by my ears. I couldn’t take the computer to the bed because there's no outlet over there. The light fixture on the far side of the bed is so crooked that I wouldn’t want to plug anything in in its vicinity anyway. One of the cups they left for me was cracked and stained, but no worries because they didn’t restock the tea so there was nothing to brew in the cup. There's a big nasty swatch of grout on the lovely tiles in the bathroom. Put that mason on speed dial! He clearly takes great pride in his job. But the water only runs luke-warm and spurts sideways out of the base of the shower head, so I didn’t spend a lot of time in the shower. The wifi cuts in and out. The night clerk wears a tunic on which the metal clasp at the collar is rusted and half detached from the fabric. He wears socks but no shoes. On the good side, at least there are no bugs. The air conditioning works well and the bed is comfortable.
