Nice stay

Nice and friendly hotel, room was clean and comfortable enough. Coffee and tea in the room is nice and you have everything you need. The area is quite and the public transport is close. Some restaurants also in walking distance.

Great place to stay! Easy to get to and situated within walking distance of a train station that allows access to the city. The front desk staff were pleasant and very helpful with how to get around Cologne. We got a family room that was large, clean, and very comfortable. Beds were comfortable and in room amenities (coffee/tea) were replenished each day. Would totally stay again!

Value for money.

An ecomically priced hotel, good value for money! Quiet location, but easy walk to the tram stop. Clean, comfortable, modern and spacious. Reception staff very helpful. Kettle and fridge. Easy to drive out of city. Would use again.

Overall nice stay, room was clean and comfortable with a large TV. Despite booking a triple room, we had to pay an extra 80 euros because not all three guest names were on the booking... This is not ideal given the name triple room implies three guests would be staying.

Great value for money

Frankly, a complete positive surprise. Perhaps not a fancy area (not dirty or dangerous or something, just totally boring), but easy accessible, parking available, large rooms, spotlessly clean, friendly service. Two restaurants very close (cafe del sol, also extremely friendly people there!!). Ideal for a family on the way. We got an unbeatable price!!

Picked in order to visit Koln for a concert, Hotel going through renovations so dining/drinking facilities not available. Very clean and slept better than I have for a long time I think once full facilities restored should be more worthwhile than it was even with the restrictions. Will return!

Inconsistent Treatment at the Palast

This is obviously a hotel aimed at business customers, which is fine. The room was comfortable, though the fittings in the bathroom had not been the best maintained. The receptionist was very helpful when we arrived. We were disappointed at the first breakfast we booked. I ate a normal breakfast, though never have a hot drink. My wife joined me later and had only a cup of tea. The staff at the hotel insisted that we had consumed two breakfasts and charged €15 each. Our argument that my wife could have had a free cup of the same tea in the room was completely ignored. The member of staff rudely insisted that we paid for two breakfasts. We therefore went to a local bakery for our breakfast the next day, which was cheaper for us and the hotel lost the potential breakfast charge. A shame.

The place was lovely and clean the reception lady was so lovely it was big and spacious but the pull out bed was solid and so uncomfey and the sink was cracked and could of done with little milks as couldnt have tea.
