Location is excellent. Within a very short walk to the station and all the sights. Spacious room with private bathroom and kitchenette. Downside is there is no lift in the building. We would however stay there again.

Hot night in Koln

It was very hot during our stay in Koln - over 38C. There was no air-conditioning and no lift. so getting up the stairs to the unit was a challenge. There was a fan which operated all night and the window was wide open - noise was less of a problem than heat. The hotel was well located near the Central Station, which was important as we were travelling by train. The station also provided access to some shopping for drinks etc. The main shopping centre was within walking distance.

Nicely presented accommodation. Good breakfast and effificent and friendly staff. Good location. 5 mins by foot from main station. Quiet street. Old property and not sound proof inside so there is noise coming from floorboards etc. I wasn't aware I needed to check in at a different property. It may have been in an email from the accommodation but any correspondance I received was in German which I don't understand. Checking in meant keying in a 10 digit code to a door pad which is fine but there was no light in the hall and I couldn't see the door key pad. The number was too long for me to remember and light with my phone's torch. This was very frustrating as the check in process became very drawn out.

Sauberes Zimmer, klein aber fein, Frühstück war super, nicht groß aber ein vielfältiges Angebot und aufmerksames Personal Super ist die Nähe zum Hbf und zur Stadt und trotzdem ist es ruhig, Preis-Leistung stimmt auf alle Fälle

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Das Frühstücksbüffet war sehr gut. Weniger gut war, dass es keine Klimaanlage oder zumindest einen Ventilator gab. Die Luft im Zimmer stand und es hat auch nichts geholfen, das Fenster aufzumachen, da es draußen viel zu heiß war. Es gibt keinen Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer und das Bad ist sehr klein, die Toilette befindet sich direkt neben der Duschkabine und wenn man die Toilette benutzt muss man aufpassen, dass man sich nicht den Kopf stößt, weil der Abstand zur Wand davor so gering ist. Der Abzug im Bad war auch sehr verstaubt und der Wasserhahn am Waschbecken war schwer zu bedienen. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis war nicht angemessen.

Only got myself a small room, but it was very well situated near the main train station. There are some great restaurants nearby and it's a brief stroll to the cathedral. Breakfast was a treat, classic german-style buffet with eggs cooked to order.

Liebevoll eingerichtet mit freundlichen Personal

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage. Innenstadt/Altstadt, LANXESS-Arena uvm sind fussläufig zu erreichen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer so wie das ganze Hotel sind super schön und sehr liebevoll gestaltet. Die Badezimmer könnten evtl modernisiert werden. Sie waren aber zweckmäßig und vor allem sauber. Das Frühstück ist eine 10/10. es empfiehlt sich auf jeden Fall einen Parkplatz zu buchen, wenn man mit PKW anreist.

Das Zimmer war sehr klein, aber sauber. Mit sehr kleinem Fernseher und kleinem Bad. Aber insgesamt ok, da dies vorher bekannt war. Das Frühstück gab es ca. 100m weiter. Vielfältig und gut. Die Lage, trotz der Nähe zum HBF, nicht unsauber oder unsicher. Für eine recht günstige und zentrumsnahe Übernachtung empfehlenswert.

Kiva pieni hotelli kävelymatkan päässä tärkeimmistä nähtävyyksistä. Hyvät kulkuyhteydet lähellä. Aamupala todella hyvä, sopivasti eri vaihtoehtoja. Huone oli pieni, mutta siisti. Joitain pieniä asioita oli vähän rempallaan (pistorasia irti seinästä, vessan lavuaari veti huonosti) mutta ei haitannut olemista.

I love staying at this location! The staff was fantastic and the breakfasts were wonderful! The room was cosine clean and the bathroom was great although I wish the showerhead was a little higher quality. Overall, I thought it was a great experience and I would stay here again.

Fantastic service and kind staff! Good and varied breakfast. Central location by the main station, but a bit dodgy area at night. Funky coloured room - mine was all red and black - which was not my taste.
