Fabulous hotel

Very grand looking hotel, with a beautiful reception hallways and breakfast room, set in a stunning garden area. Very good breakfast. But the “studios” are bright red, blue and white, has a seaside theme!!! This bright cheap decor is such a shame.

Very good hotel to stay

It’s very cozy apartment for us. We needed to call right before we checked in as the reception was closed at 16:00 but the communication was no issue and we could smoothly find the key. If you’d like to have a relaxing vacation, it’s very good place to stay.

Enchanting Stay with a Twist

My stay at Parkhotel Muldental was a unique and memorable experience. The hotel impressed with its wonderful amenities, which were both modern and comfortable. The breakfast deserves special mention – it was not only delicious but also prepared with great attention to detail. The hotel staff were consistently friendly and accommodating, making the stay even more pleasant. An interesting aspect of the hotel was the old house, which, despite its slightly ‘spooky’ character, offered a fascinating and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, Parkhotel Muldental provides a wonderful combination of comfort, excellent service, and a touch of adventure.

Full of character but comfortable.

A lovely building which has kept it’s character while being made into apartments. Sufficient kitchen facilities to make a simple meal (there are no restaurants within a few miles) and an excellent continental breakfast is available. We only stayed one night but it would make a good base for a longer stay. No aircon but the windows had mesh outside screens so you could have the windows wide open all night and not worry about being bitten, excellent idea! and far more environmentally friendly.

Die Dame ist einfach nicht kompromissbereit. Sie akzeptiert keine andere Meinung und stellt ihr AGB‘s über alles. Ich wollte eine halbe Stunde, aufgrund schlechten Wetters, vorher ins Zimmer, aber das war nicht möglich. Sie hat mir selber gesagt, das Sie meine Anrufe gesehen hat, aber sie ist einfach nicht ans Telefon gegangen. Sie ist alles in allem sehr unfreundlich und sehr unzugänglich für alles. Selbst als ich Sie angesprochen habe das Thema ohne eine schlechte Bewertung zu klären da war sie immer noch unzugänglich, daher habe ich mich dann für diesen Weg entschieden. Also, mein Fazit, dort kann ich nur jemanden abraten zu übernachten.

Gruselig

Wohl nicht repräsentativ während des Corona Lock downs war ich der einzige Gast in der Villa. Gruselig, abends anzukommen und zu sehen, dass die schöne Villa am Waldrand am Abend völlig unbeleuchtet und von der Straße aus im Dunkeln als Hotel kaum zu erkennen ist. Als Witz gedacht der Hinweis der Betreiberin die Hintertür des Hotels aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht vergessen zuzuschließen. Das Appartement war ausgekühlt und die Heizung hatte zu tun, es auf eine akzeptable Temperatur zu bringen. Die Polster der Sessel im Wohnzimmer waren total ausgesessen, sehr unbequem permanent im Sitzen den Holzrahmen zu spüren. Leider haben mich diese Umstände das an sich schöne Appartement in der beeindruckend restaurierten Villa nicht genießen lassen.

Das Hotel ist etwas abgelegen, fantastisch wenn man Ruhe braucht und sucht. Eine stattliche Fabrikantenvilla, nur schade das man Annehmlichkeiten wie Wellnessbereich nicht nutzen (durch Corona🙈) kann, aber halt mitbezahlt. Sehr zu empfehlen für Wandertouren oder Radausflüge!

Beautiful hotel outside Colditz

The hotel is located 2km outside of Colditz in a very quite and beautiful area. The grounds it self where stunning and well kept with a small swimming pool to have a dip in if required. The apartment was well laid out and very clean. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone and would book to stay there again.

Value for money

Overall the accomodation was good, it was in a very quiet rural area. The room was spacious and well equiped for a night or two. No lift so be sure you can take your bags upstairs. You will need a car as nothing locally and Colditz town is 10 min drive. Value for money I thought.

Stay here while visiting Colditz

Pros: the property setting is pretty and peaceful; the building is beautiful and elegant; the hostess/clerk is very friendly and helpful; the bed and bedding are very comfortable; the bathroom is spacious and well-fitted. Parking is easy. Wifi is excellent. Cons: Some people may find it difficult to get to as roads in the area are exceptionally narrow; there is no breakfast, so pack your own or plan to go out to Colditz, where there are a few cafes in the square. Checking in was tricky for us as we did not know that part of the check-in procedure meant phoning to get a code for the key, and we did not have phone service. Luckily, another guest helped us out. Other: the hostess/clerk suggested a restaurant that is close to the hotel (5-minute drive). Go there - it is outstanding. Overall - I would stay again! Enjoyed it.
