"The Strathy Inn is the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying with friends - extremely hospitable ones! It doesn’t look much from the outside and is not in one of the bigger villages but the rooms are very clean, cosy and comfortable and have everything you need. The bed was one of the best we’ve slept in on our trip around North Scotland. Meals are also home cooked and delicious. I would highly recommend a stay here."

"What a place to stay at Garvault House! It's literally in the middle of nowhere, no light pollution and views of pure wilderness for miles around- amazing location. Food provided was very tasty and dinner becomes a very social setting where everyone is on the dining table, although you can sit privately next door if you wished! Rooms could do with a bit of modernising albeit not too much to take away from the charm of this 'off grid' location. No TVs either, but WiFi and phone signal still good if that bothers you during your stay"
