Room was cheap and acceptable. Only problem was room claimed to have a ceiling fan which was actually just a pedestal desk-fan mounted to the wall lol but overall great, decent fun gypsy family pub place perfect for late night rest stop base camp. Games room, pokies and kids place featuring 'Brum' (a novely ride replica of old skool ABC kids show) ☮All peace part of Aussie pride😊

This is one of the worst hostels that we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot of hostels in a lot of cities around the world. very unclean, extremely hot and hard to sleep, we were given a room with a big fan/generator right outside the window which was loud and prevented any airflow whatsoever making it even hotter and more uncomfortable to sleep. Some toilets were okay but some were very unclean with poo stains for the entire time we were there. One of the top bunk beds in our room was also half broken and disassembled with the entire safety rail and top railing missing making it very wobbly and unsafe. On top of this there was actual holes in the walls that weren't covered at all. Parking was also about a 5 minute walk away. This was a cheap stay but DEFINITELY not worth it.

Fan was so dirty it didn’t even blew air. No airco. Sink was blocked. Bed was holding on 2 screws and was bent. Stains on the bed sheets. Dead insects squashed on the walls. Run away from room 9 ! Kitchen fridge was filthy, disgusting ! Should I continue ? Worst backpack I’ve ever seen.

Fan in room was so thick with dust it directed the flow sideways instead of outwards. Room sink needs drain clean as the flow backs up in lieu of normal drainage Bed was clean as was doona. I was in room 9.

The staff were super helpful with helping with directions and sending codes to get in. I liked that there was secure parking off the street.

Not recommended .

The rooms were dirty. The sink looked like it’s never been cleaned. My husband was bitten by bed bugs. The sheets felt like plastic. Apparently not the worst in Coffs Harbour so that’s something.

Me and my two teenage children stayed in a room to sleep 3 with shared bathroom, in summer. It was a last minute deal and were grateful to have a bed to sleep in.. The building is old so taking that into account the place was relatively clean. Common areas smelt bad, stale, but were clean with exception of the ancient carpet. The room, I'm sure it had been cleaned cause the smell of disinfectant hurt my nostrils. No aircon, no fan and no screen on windows. Window opens to the balcony which is a common area for the smokers. Fellow guests have no consideration for others with regards to noise. The doors on every room bang super loud when closing. Mattress was so old I could feel every spring in it. For a backpackers style accommodation even, this is the worst I've experienced. Bistro was lovely with great affordable meals and The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Stayed for a week. It's overpriced even when the Hostel conditions are not worth it. The kitchen was messy and dirty. There's not enough lightning. At least the bathroom was clean, and my bed was clean and comfy.

It's not a hostel I'm sure I'll come back too. The reception was friendly and upgraded me to a better room without further discussion since my actually room/bed in dorm was not clean at all. The new room was clean, but the lock on the door didn't work. All in all very disappointing.

Alleen uit pure noodzaak.

Ik had dit hostel geboekt omdat ze nog als enigen een bed hadden die avond. Het enige voordeel aan dit hostel is dat het op loopafstand is van de greyhound bus stop, maar daar is ook alles wel mee gezegd. De receptie was permanent onbemand. De kamer was smerig, het tapijt op de vloer zag eruit alsof het al heel lang niet gestofzuigd was. De kamer was slecht geventileerd en meurde een beetje. Lekkage aan de muur. Stapelbed niet aan de muur gefixeerd en daardoor enorm gammel. De keuken deed me denken aan een studentenhuis waar 15 corpsballen wonen. Er lag rauw vlees op de tafel wat van niemand was. Hostel zit aan een truckerweg en dichtbij een bar die muziek draait. Heel ver van het strand. De mensen die verder in het hostel verbleven waren ook niet heel toegankelijk, er hing absoluut geen backpackerssfeer. Ik ben na 1 nacht uitgecheckt en gelijk naar de YHA gegaan. Verder vond ik Coffs Harbour zelf niet heel boeiend als solo backpacker. Ik had die tijd liever gebruikt om langer in Byron Bay te blijven.
