"Nice greeting from the staff as we entered. Pretty and spacious rooms, most with balconies overlooking the pool and sea. Bikes, kayaks available for free or rent a fishing pole and go fishing. Restaurant offered delicious breakfast and has live entertainment on some nights. The pool is smaller but very nice with a swim up bar. Plenty of lounges available around the pool or right on the beach. 20/25 minute walk to the center od town or rent a golf cart from the resort. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Julia’s Cabanas! We were in a two bedroom, second floor unit and it was spacious and very clean with a wonderful view of the palm trees looking over the ocean. It was so nice to have our own hammock and balcony and being so close to the ocean was wonderful! It was a great location with friendly staff and I would definitely stay again!"

"Great stay staff were all wonderful room was clean and spacious. Restaurant was awesome both food and service. Pool was large has a swim up bar. We were welcomed on arrival by an alligator (leave him alone and he’ll leave you alone) and lots of Iguana’s. Would recommend renting a vehicle or golf cart the village is about a 30 minute drive. "

"We loved our stay at umaya. The beach is awesome. The whole pool area/chairs/dock and set up are awesome too. So great that you can also borrow Kayaks and paddle boards (which we did) to have morning paddles when the ocean is calmer. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel itself is beautiful, the staff helpful and accommodating and the food at the hotel was good as well. There are also many restaurants and a supermarket (10 min drive) close to umaya without having to always make the drive into Placencia town (about 20/25mins) Oh those speed bumps! We would for sure come back to umaya again as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. "
