「This is a great hotel to stay at while exploring the Forest of Dean. The rooms were quaint and clean, the breakfast was delicious and the pub downstairs was cute.」

「Strikingly looking hotel. Unfortunately on entering reception, we were greeted with a dirty carpet, which carries on into the bar area with lots of stains. Our room was up 2 flights of stairs, which I wasn't aware of when I booked. Therefore, in this heatwave, the room was an oven. There was a desk fan - 'thank goodness'. Pleased with the room, the layout and amenities. Curtains need seeing to, useless and need blackouts! All the staff were pleasant and hard working. Did not expect a buffet...

「We had a good stay at the Sloop Inn. Lovely friendly staff. The best breakfast. The property is a little dated, and the bed isn't the most comfortable, but it was all good for a one-night stay. Would recommend.」

I drove back onto the main road and saw a small lane on the right and a sign propped against the wall showing Church Farm guest house. There was no sign for anyone coming from Abergavenny, like me. There were 2 front doors and I rang the wrong bell as there was no sign. We were told there was a dining room and when we came down for...

「Very clean property and the pud is great for food」

「Really nice stay in a small village with a lot of history. The property is situated close to some well known places such as Tintern and Usk. Great communication from the hosts who were very friendly and supporting.」
