Disappointing stay

Host was pretty unfriendly. Lots if issues with the booking: changed booked cabin without customer consent, did not provide free breakfast as stated in booking confirmation, no toiletries, WIFI failed, mouse droppings on bedside table, trash in front of living room window, did not provide a key to the cabin.

Peaceful Ranch

Very peaceful and enjoyed spending time watching the resident bear. Owners were great to talk to and enjoyed sitting out in nature on the patio at night. Had a great sleep. Internet Reception was minimal and no TV- but it was great to relax after a busy work week.

Attention to detail needs improvement

This is a unique stay as it is a working ranch, and the owner is friendly. However, it's lacking in a few reasonable comforts. There were several areas with cobwebs in the room, and also the last guest's hair in the bathroom - this leads us to feel like attention to detail with cleanliness & hygiene is not high enough priority and it needs to be at a time like this. The double bed had 2 single duvets on it - awkward for a couple. The water out of the taps was discolored and cloudy. It was an ok place to lay your head, but overpriced and could definitely be improved.

The 2 queen bed is not really 2 bed one bed and one sofa bed. Better than other ranches as most people told us. No smell and very friendly host.

We stayed in the wilderness house which was remote clean and comfortable. Shower had a drain smell but otherwise a nice play to stay. Food at the main ranch good quality and plentiful.

Clearwater stop over

Clean, bed comfortable, comfy sofa and small kitchen. Accommodation was a log cabin with other cabins situated around a lawned area on a working farm. Arrived late as a stop over on route and just wanted to watch tv and chill but the cabins don’t have tv so felt quite basic. Understand would be perfect if you wanted to get away from it all, walk and read.

Little, Cosy Cottage 8 to disconnect from world

The Nakiska Ranch is about 30 km from the nearest town with visitor's centre, groceries store etc.. Very isolated area, ideal to disconnect from the real world, do some hikes, admire the different waterfalls, read and relax. There is NO SERVICE so no possibility to get in touch with anyone in case of an emergency and no internet connection whatsoever. Cottage 8 (Deluxe Cottage) was a nice, cosy, little cottage very clean and nicely decorated. The owners offer the possibility to serve dinner and breakfast at their house. However, we decided to prepare our meals at the cottage that is fully equipped.

Not the "mountain view" we had been advised of when booking. Hut was very cramped. Not a lot going for it.
