Beautiful setting having a lake all to themselves, adequate/good lodge to stay in, free use of canoes/rowing boat etc. Evening meal very good though breakfast was just average. Long country track to access.
Wow, what a location. Well worth the drive. Loved the peacefulness and the lake was wonderful. Used the kayaks ans paddle boards that are available fir guests to use as they wish. Highly recommended 👍
This is a spectacularly beautiful place and the staff we encountered were wonderful. We hope to stay here again soon when we can stay longer...must stay at least two nights to truly enjoy!
Stunning location, great activities, clean amenities, great food on offer, and so much more affordable then anywhere else we had been.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.
The resort is amazing with great amenities and complimentary kayaks. Hot tub is awesome. Restaurants on site. The cabins are gorgeous! The staff is extremely helpful. We will definitely be back!
Really welcoming staff, lodge was pretty spacious and clean. Loved the remote location and use of the rowing boats and kayaks on the lake. Our only very small negative was the pillows were really thick and we found them quite uncomfortable.
Beautiful property with lots of space, gorgeous log cabins with small lake on property. Close to wildlife with frequent bear visitors and beaver lodge on lake. Nice quiet space. About 30 minutes from Clearwater with access to great hiking trails.
We stayed in a one bedroom cabin with our dog and facility is pet friendly. Great view of the lake from the deck. Spacious and clean. There is one adjoining main wall dividing the structure but we never heard the neighbors nor their dog so well insulated walls.
Trevor at the front reception area and the manager, Christina, gave excellent customer service! They have a fun area with ping pong, swings, and kids play atea. Also paddle boats and canoes at no additional charge.
Only downside to staying here was the location and unpaved road coming and going.
We only stayed for one night as we wanted to break up the journey between Whistler and Jasper but wish we had stayed longer! It’s so peaceful and the lake is beautiful. The lodges are lovely and comfortable and we had a great night’s sleep. Unless your lodge has a kitchenette then dining options are slightly limited but not a bad price (we had the take out option) and it was ok.
The layout was beautiful. Loved the serenity of the resort. Loved the options that were available for activities. We did not partake as there was an incredible heatwave that slowed us down. We would definitely return for a holiday instead of just an overnight.
The chalets themselves were fantastic. Very clean and unique. The location itself was 30 minutes up a dirt track, which was not worth the effort when exploring the Wells Gray National Park. The restaurant was overpriced with an uninspiring menu. The complex has no shop to buy supplies and the cafe operates on limited hours. The breakfast was the worst we have had in Canada so far, with staff taking bin bags out through the restaurant. This place could be magical but it feels half-baked. We asked advice from the front desk and was advised to speak to the tourist information and google things. If you’re looking for a base for exploring the area, look elsewhere.
Just had a fantastic 1 night stay at Alpine Meadows to break up a long day of travelling. The site is absolutely stunning, just idyllic. The facilities are great, there is a takeaway type dining cabin where you can sit outside or take food back to your lodge or we dined at the Boathouse Restaurant which was really lovely. Other facilities included free use of rowing boats & canoes, large hot tub jacuzzi, play area including table tennis, basket ball and a laundry. Lodges are quite traditional inside but spacious & very clean. Excellent site, a little off the beaten track but well worth the journey.
The cabins are absolutely beautiful as are the grounds. We found the restaurant to be very good though the breakfast that was part of the price was about the level of a chain motel. The resort has a lot of activity related things to do - kayaks, canoes, hiking trail, lots of games, ping pong, outdoor chess etc. It would have been helpful to have some minimal silverware and plates. They have a microwave but nothing to put stuff on. Lastly the have a large hot tub area which was closed with a sign that it was under repair. By the looks of the tub and surrounding area it looks as though it has been "under repair" for a long time.......That was disappointing......
What a breath of fresh air literally. Absolutely amazing spot. The cabin was excellent well appointed. Had a kitchen and cooked our meals. Went to BBQ every night was a nice touch. We fished the lake only got 2 fish. Tried casting, trolling, fly fishing, didn’t like my lures! Drive up to Dunn lake as well as wells grey park. Such beautiful views and waterfalls. The staff were wonderful and came right away when we needed some supplies. The road up to the resort is good and was raining. No worries. I will be back and don’t miss out in an opportunity to go there. Will not be disappointed. Take a few days to recharge your system in the mountains and wildlife. Thanks for a great stay.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
We stayed at several units due to multiple bookings. Cabins 203 and 204 are really great and updated though towards the end of the resort. Unit 126 is quite the opposite, very outdated on all aspects being no a/c, very old kitchen and the same with respect to the bathroom. The terrace view, though, is better at unit 126 than units 203 and 204. Breakfast in Alpine is not great and basically consist of Kraft and Kelloggs product. Further, the breakfast area is really crowded since breakfast closes at 9 o’clock. I guess they want people to leave / check-out as soon as possible in order to fix rooms to next round of people. Otherwise, it doesn’t make sense to have breakfast done so fast. By the way, no cell phone coverage at all at the compound. The resort has a lake with canoes, paddle boards etc for guests to use free of charge which was a major bonus. Finally, the resort is located 30-35 minutes on mainly unpaved roads from Clearwater city where is the city you need to go to for food, shops and gas.

Liked: Amenities
The cabin where we stayed has a great view. The compound has great facilities (complimentary canoe, ping pong table, basket ball ring, bbq area etc). The Dunn Chicken at Boathouse restaurant was delicious. The downside to this trip is the road condition to the resort. Given the muddy and potholes in some parts of the road, it actually takes 30-40 mins. When we headed to the resort, the road to the resort was muddy because of the heavy rain and our car was covered with muds all the way to the window. There is no place for guest to rinse their car in the compound sadly.
Lastly, we had a bit problem getting hot drinking water. The kettle they provided in the room has thick calcium buildup. The lady was very kind to bring a replacement kettle in the evening, but the coil is rusty. I hope they change the kettle with the metal plate one in near future. I had to boil hot water using the keurig machine, hot water with coffee taste
We stayed in a two bedroom cabin. Spacious, modern and well equipped. The resort is lovely and very quiet. Nice lake for some easy canoeing, and some forest paths. There is a restaurant for evening dinner, as well as a more informal area for food. Book the restaurant early, it tends to get full. The two bed cabins are a few hundred metres up the hill from the lake in the 200 and 300 blocks. They have a view but it's in the distance. 200 are closer than 300. We ended up at the back of the site, which was lovely and quiet. Even then it was only a pleasant 15 mins walk to the restaurant (or you could drive).
