We absolutely loved this place. Vayu Retreat is a very charming and quiet mini hotel with only 4 beautiful rooms, a great infinity pool, spacious terrasses to relax and a nice restaurant. The service from Marc is absolutely phenomenal. Everything is done with taste and the place has all the amenities you will need.

Vayu was a 2 nights stop for us during our southern cost camping tour. Vayu was everything we expected, beautiful, the shower water pressure was great, the food was great, the staff was friendly and attentive to detail. We definitely recommend this location! Pura Vida

This property is a hidden gem. The owner ralphel is so amazing and talented. He prepares the most delicious meals for you and he is just so attentive to your ever need. The villa is so beautiful and clean.I had an amazing week long stay..I highly recommend this villa to anyone visiting Costa Rica.

We had a wonderful stay here! The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable (during rainy season) and also helped us with booking our next tour destination. Food was excellent, try the avocado toast! We slept so comfortably on the softest sheets in an ambient lit room and the private balcony was great for extra relaxation. I would not stay anywhere else when visiting this area again!

Outstanding, and the perfect end to a travel and tour-filled vacation. Vayu is an idyllic retreat, nestled in the jungle, surrounded by trees and the sounds of nature. We were even visited by a pair of inquisitive toucans. The rooms are huge - clean and a bed with bedding more comfortable than home. Everything has been perfectly considered - design and integration of technology (most notably the lighting and sound systems). The pool is lovely for a dip to cool off, but beaches are close if you want the sea. 12 minutes drive is a cute set of cafe/restaurants, however the food on site is delicious. The set breakfast (changing daily) and dinner (and additional $60pp for set three-courses) were simple but excellently executed and tasty. The star of this place is Marc - he is Vayu. The amount of care and love he has put into their baby (sorry we didn't meet Rafael) projects into the care and attention he respectfully gives his guests throughout their stay. He is always on hand to assist, and nothing is ever too much trouble for him to help with. We would recommend staying here for a quiet and relaxing few days. A perfect end to a fantastic holiday.

I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay here. Every detail has been considered. The room was beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff went above and beyond to make sure every part of our visit was amazing. I will certainly be back the next time I visit Costa Rica.

Perfect relaxing stay

Fabulous, relaxing stay. Beautiful room with our own rooftop terrace with sun beds and comfy sofas for a relaxing pre dinner drink. Breakfast was excellent. We also had an evening meal which was also excellent. Probably our best meal of our three week stay in Costa Rica. Marc was the perfect host not intrusive but there when ever you needed anything. Perfect way to end our trip

This was one of the most beautiful, clean, and peaceful environments we have ever stayed in. Marc was personable, accommodating, and truly made our stay one of the most memorable parts of the trip. A friend and I stayed here for Envision Festival and did not realize it was a 30-minute drive to and from the festival. Marc drove us all the way into Uvita himself one of the days and set up a driver for us who would take us in the morning and pick us up late at night (2 AM sometimes) to get us home safely. Marc served us breakfast and coffee himself every morning and always asked about our day. When we would return to the villa at night we were welcomed home with peaceful music and automatic lights that would turn on to guide us up to our room - where we found our bed made, clothes folded, and towels replenished every day. The property itself is stunningly beautiful. Rafael and Marc truly poured their creative and tasteful style into this jungle oasis and it shows through every detail. There was construction happening on the property while we were there, but it did not interrupt our stay at all, and it seems like it's going to be a great addition! We are excited to come back and would highly recommend Vayu Retreat Villas to anyone looking for a quiet oasis in Costa Rica!

Trevligt och lugnt litet ställe

Lugnt och avslappnande. Väldigt sköna sängar! Vackert inrett. Lite problem med termostaten till duschen som antingen ville bli väldigt varm eller helt kall. Marc och Rafael är fantastiskt gästvänliga, serviceinriktade, hjälpsamma och trevliga.

Super séjour!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Vayu retreat. Marc et Rafael sont passionnés et attentionnés jusque dans les détails. La chambre, les lieux, la piscine, l’accès à la rivière ainsi que le restaurant et les occasionnelles soirées chantantes sont délicieuses. Les plages et autres activités sont à proximité si vous disposez d’un véhicule (recommandé ). Nous ne pouvons que recommander cet endroit si vous recherchez le calme et la douceur de vivre au Costa Rica!
