"When we firstly entered the room, we found that the table and chair were uncleaned and stained. Also the kettle could not automatically stop after water was boiled. Later we found that some water leak from the kettle and some parts missed. Moreover, one light bulb at ceiling was not working. As we found these near midnight, we cleaned the room and asked them to change the kettle. However, they spent two days to change the light bulb.
The staff were helpful except one lady with blonde hair working at night on 21 Feb. When we approached her about the progress of our room problems, she just told carelessly us that all things were fixed. But we found that the lighting problem was still there. She just replied us that the part was not available. Her attitude was not good and we totally accepted her explanation. "
"Overall, we were satisfied with our stay and had a good check-in experience. The staff were friendly, and we appreciated being upgraded to a better room, which was a nice touch.
However, there are a few areas that need improvement. Firstly, there was no internal door lock in the room. On the afternoon of our check-in day, while we were resting in the room, a staff member unexpectedly opened the door to check the air conditioner without any prior notice. This was quite uncomfortable and affected our sense of security, making it difficult to sleep well that night. Greater attention to guest privacy and communication would be appreciated.
Secondly, the power outlet layout in the room was inconvenient. Apart from the bathroom, there was only one power socket located under the TV, and none near the bed, which made charging devices at night very inconvenient.
We booked a plan that included breakfast, but the actual breakfast was quite different from the photos shown on Hotels.com, which was disappointing. While it was acceptable as part of a breakfast-included package, it would not be good value if charged separately at AUD 35.
Overall, the hotel has good potential, but improvements in room safety, layout, and transparency would greatly enhance the guest experience."
