Burana Tower is one of the last remaining monuments at the ancient Silk Road city of Balasagun, located nearby the modern city of Tokmok in the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyzstan). The tower site also features a small museum, an open-air museum with a collection of petroglyphs and “balbals” (akin to grave markers), and the hill that once was the royal palace. The views toward the mountains are spectacular on a clear day.

"Breakfast was substantial so there was much to choose from. The coffee makers were either broken or couldnt keep up with demand (one household coffee maker and otherwise instant - the espresso machine seemed in poor working order). Our room was very nice but the shower head was broken and the glass doors wouldnt close so privacy was limited. I would recommend the hotel but I should have brought the bathroom issues up to the desk so the next guest would have a better experience. "

"Room was nice but definitely need more attention to cleanliness as there was still a lots of hair left in the toilet from the previous guest, so the question is what is actually the cleaning standards and if anyone is checking the rooms before check in. "Breakfast buffet was wonderful. Compliments to the chef as they make everything from scratch daily. Boorsoks (pastry) were made daily, hot and fluffy, it felt like home. Porridge was just like my grandma's, I had flashbacks of flavors. The whole staff was friendly and helpful. The room was smaller than I had expected but it was standard single room. I think I will come back just to have breakfast there. I would definitely recommend this hotel. "
