Convenient Location

Great location with a bus stop right outside. Walking distance to Riccarton Mall and Hagley Park. Well equipped kitchenette although an instruction manual for the microwave would have been helpful.

We recently stayed at this motel and unfortunately had a disappointing experience overall. When we arrived, the cleanliness was not up to standard. The bins had not been emptied from the previous guests, and there was dirty toilet paper left in the toilet, which was quite off-putting. The water temperature was also very inconsistent and difficult to regulate, making showers uncomfortable. On our second day, our beds were not made, which added to the feeling that housekeeping was lacking. Additionally, the TV had limited functionality - only YouTube seemed to work, and other features or channels were unavailable. On a more positive note, the location was a strong point. It’s situated in a great area close to the city, with plenty of good shops and amenities nearby, which made getting around very convenient. Overall, while the location was good, the cleanliness and maintenance issues really impacted our stay. With better attention to housekeeping and basic amenities, this could be a much better place to stay.
