"I loved the rustic setting of the lodge and the staff was super nice and caring. I only had one issue with housekeeping cleaning out my entire room and they did not check who was staying for more than one night. This is a great option if you are road tripping."

"James and Cristina are friendly and gracious proprietors of three amazing cabins, conveniently located half way up the road to McCarthy/Kennicot. The cabins are rustic but new and cozy with everything needed for a comfortable night in the Alaska wilderness. The property is forested and beautiful on the edge of a river. They provide a separate cook house, where we were able to cook our own dinner (buy groceries in Glenallen) and where they cooked a huge breakfast for our party.
Note: please take their warning seriously to be prepared for flat tires along the road to McCarthy. Buy a Fix-A-Flat aerosol can in Anchorage, as you're unlikely to find them elsewhere.) "
