"Hotel not great and expensive for what you get. However the bar/restaurant is good, the food is really good and the staff are excellent. The staff make up for a lot of the shortcomings of the hotel"

"The property was very clean which was nice. There could have been more mugs as there were only 2. A teapot would have been useful. There was a good selection of cutlery, but no bread knife or scissors. Overall, we enjoyed our stay"

"Lovely cosy getaway for a long weekend. Clemency (the host) was a pleasure to deal with. Top tip: the footpath down to Spott is the gate on the left, not through the field with the cows."
