Comfort Suites Gatlinburg Downtown-Convention Center

"The pool was ice cold for the first two days of our stay. Which is why we booked an additional day. I had to make a new Expedia reservation for that. We did let the front desk know that it was cold. Several families left immediately after touching the frigid water. It felt like the water was straight out of someone’s refrigerator. Extremely cold to the point it hurt your body to touch it. The room was fairly clean. We did find long strands of hair on our sheets as well as some crumbs that were left on the bed. So we changed the bedding. when we went to get more bedding for the sofa those sheets had long strands of hair as well. We got new sheets twice and on the third time when we still saw this we just had forget it and decide we won’t sleep on the pullout sofa. Breakfast was good. Not the biggest selection, but it did the trick. There’s a today’s flavor of waffles that changes every day. One day it was cinnamon, one day it was blueberry. There’s also a standard waffle flavor. My kids were not fans of the standard flavor. There’s also cereal, yogurt, and different types of bread. The biscuits were delicious and you could add sausage gravy, which was also delicious. There were eggs every day and some type of sausage (could be links or patties). I personally was not a fan of the sausage, however, my son seemed to not mind it. There’s also coffee and other hot beverages and lemon water throughout the day. During breakfast hours there’s juice. Overall we would stay again."

"Our second time staying here (would have been our third, but I waited too long last time!). Rooms are clean, ac is cold, pool area is clean & maintained. Front counter staff are genuinely helpful, accommodating, and friendly. As Gatlinburg is a walking town, this is just far enough back to not get all the noise, but close enough to walk to/from to the main strip. Rowkeya & her manager (missed her name) and overnight lady were all SUPER!! We will return next year for sure"

"Small café on site which has a very limited menu. Breakfast menu at café is a little high for the amount of food you get room was clean. Staff was very helpful. Very friendly would recommend getting a room in the new wing rather than the old wing. Beware there is a large amount of black bears that pretty much roam all over the town. Be sure to not leave any food in your car and checking in and to lock your doors because the bears can open the doors of cars some have even smashed open the sunroof of a car to get in for food be advised"

"The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and we had a decent view of the Skypark bridge. The only real issue was if you are a smoker the designated areas are horrible. The one where we didn't have to set on a rock on the corner, was a service dock/garage type area. We were kind of cornered there by a bear two or three times when they snuck up on us. The bears do like it around the hotels in the area, (would see at least one a couple times a day up close) but never caused us any problems. Just do like they say and don't leave ANY food in your car or laying around. Don't mess with them and they pretty much ignored us. My wife thinks there should be an outside pool too, but the hot tub out back was nice."

"The building and the bedroom were fine. The refrigerator did not work. The water pressure was extremely low in the bathroom. The shower did not have enough pressure to change over from the tub. All the concerns are fixable, and we would be happy to stay at your establishment again. We would recommend your business to family and friends."
