"We stayed at Playa Blanca Resort in Panama for 9 days with family and had 3 different rooms. The resort is beautiful and has great potential, especially the view of the artificial beach from our room, but the lack of maintenance, cleanliness, and service was very disappointing. All 3 rooms were missing basic furniture or amenities. The built-in kitchens were useless because there were no plates, cups, utensils, pots, pans, or anything in the cabinets. Our room did not even have a refrigerator and was missing a desk chair. It was also very dirty under the cabinets and furniture, which was concerning because our 12-month-old was crawling around. My in-laws’ first room smelled like feces and had mold, so they had to move. This was a serious health concern because my father-in-law is 94. Their second room had a broken bed. Staff said it would be changed and later claimed it had been, but it had not. We had to move an unused bed from our own room ourselves. We also requested a wheelchair for my father-in-law on day one, but did not receive it until day three. The food was generally good and most restaurant servers were kind, but we saw rat droppings on buffet tables two days in a row. The reservation system was also difficult for multiple rooms. Beach towels were only available in one faraway location, so we kept the same towels all 9 days. Overall, the resort is beautiful, but it needs major improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, communication, and hospitality."

"Rooms were clean and spacious. We had a nice patio and it was private but also convenient to the amenities on the property. We had a very leaky shower which they were unable to repair during our stay. For so many reasons, we hope it has been repaired. Besides that, the food and happy hour was good. The property was beautiful and we enjoyed it very much."

"Great hotel in a beautiful property. Everywhere you look there is a unique piece of art (sculpture). Rooms are very comfortable with all you need, balcony is a plus with couch and chairs, heated pool is also nice. All areas with relaxing music. Food at restaurant Fuego and Tiempo are of excellent food quality and great service. Highly recommended hotel to spend some days in tranquility and relaxation. "

"Beautiful small hotel ocean front, right on the sand! Our room was amazing and the outdoor shower was a bonus! It had a nice deck as well. The beach was large with salt & pepper sand and practically empty. There are lounge chairs with thatched umbrellas on the property by the private beach entrance. Plenty of on-site parking. Only thing I would change would be to add a small table & chairs as there's no place to sit in the room except on the high, comfy bed! AC worked great! FYI there's no elevator to the second/third floor but the staircase is beautiful! Would definately stay again! "
