It was convenient! There is a $400 refundable security deposit that they request for 4 or more night stay. We were not aware of this.

The location is convenient near the hospitals. The lobby is very small and desks were understaffed so the line of 4 people made the area uncomfortably tight. I was "warned" upon check-in that mornings were busy and I should plan on a 20 minute wait for an elevator! (It wound up being only 5 - 6, but I had to change my morning plans to avoid a 20 minute wait). Taking the stairs from the 16th floor carrying luggage was not an option. The room was clean, and bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, outside noises were disruptive during the night - but to be expected when staying near a hospital.The valet parking was also understaffed - it was very tight spaces and long waits for guests to get their cars out front. Overall, I would not stay here again nor would I recommend to others.

The room had chipping paint, torn carpet and the tub was stained. The elevator area and hallways were so cramped it felt like an old NY apartment building. The room was decently spacious but in my opinion this was a Hampton that they stuck a homewood label on and I am not a fan of Hampton Inns. I wish I would have known this in advance.

Rooms are ok. No issues there. Problem is the elevator system and the cramped hallways. 3 pint-sized cars with what seems to be a programming issue, cannot handle the traffic of the vertical-heavy building. The breakfast was the standard chain complimentary stuff, but they seemed to struggle keeping up with demand. Staff was very friendly sans one or two who were just there for the paycheck.

Staff was wonderful! Breakfast was excellent. Suite was clean and beautiful. My granddaughter is in the NICU at Lurie's hospital. It's super easy to walk across St. Clair Street and enter the parking garage that leads to the hallways to get to Lurie's, all indoors. A blessing in February! I felt very safe there!!

Rooms are very clean. Breakfast is excellent with all the main food you like in the morning. We noticed that the hotel is walking on a green path. Plates and cups are made with paper and this is very good and not usual in all the hotels. At the start of our staying, we had a few problems with the room but the staff was able to managed very well and in the afternoon everything was perfect. I stayed in the hotel 10 days with my family from Europe. Surely, I will reserve rooms in this hotel in our next trip to Chicago. Just to improve, in my next trip I would like to find “green” cutlery at breakfast and not made of plastic. In rush ours the elevators of the hotel is always crowded with people and you have to wait a few minutes. The location is very good and safe. Excellent hotel.

Comfortable Stay!
This is our 2nd time we stayed at this hotel in less than 2 weeks as our daughter is currently in the NICU at Luries, which is literally right across the street! There’s also a chipotle attached to the hotel (my fav), decent free breakfast and the bed was so so comfortable. We were able to get late check out (1pm instead of 11) easily. We will absolutely be staying here again during this time our daughter is in the hospital as well as in the future.

Easy.
From the minute we stepped into the lobby. Lynette went out of her way to make us feel welcome and make our entrance easier. She let the valet know that we would be parked for a few minutes while we carried our luggage in and gave us tips about the stores we wanted to see, and was there the day we left.

Very good other then few fixable issue
Very welcoming with a great host who greeted us and got us to our room , got a room with a kitchen it was lovely and up to cleanliness . Room keys would not work a few times and a female worker just walked in our room about an hour before we even had to check out but everything else was nice and I’ll be booking again .

We had to stay in Chicago due to our granddaughter being in the nicu at Lurie's Childrens Hospital. They had already given us a 12:00 noon check out and then my husband fell ill. We had a two hour drive ahead of us, and I called the front desk to see if we could stay just a little longer, explaining the situation, and they for just a nominal fee let us stay in the room so he could sleep, with an even later check out at 3:00. Great service. Thank you

The room was spacious. Nice view from the window. Nice tasty breakfast. But the room was very cold. The heater was very noisy and we had to turn it off at night, so we were freezing for 7 days and slept in pants and sweaters. Before checking in, ask for warm rooms with a good the heater.

Growling A/C and a Roach
Room was big as expected and everything seems in order until night comes and things went really disappointing. The a/c was loud enough to make my sleep unbearable and since I have anxiety, I kept on waking up every time the a/c starts to growl. Aside from that unpleasant noise which ruined my night, I found an uninvited guest near the sink; a roach.
