Great little room. Good for staying in for a night or two. There is not much else. The front desk folks have been nice the two times I have stayed here. Showers were good, towels are nice, bed and bedding are comfortable

Pros: Cozy rooms, friendly staff, smart TVs, close to everything, great water pressure and affordable price. Also- dog friendly! Cons: like most motels you can hear pretty well through the walls to the other rooms but that’s pretty typical. Overall good stay and highly recommend for ski trips to 49 degrees north!

Rooms are very dirty.... pee on bed cover!!
Well it all started when they checked us into a room athat wasnt propertly cleaned with no bathroom ventilation. They moves us to another room the next day...... we then moved to the room next door which i immediately noticed that it wasnt cleaned in several spots! The manager was right there and sent the housekeeper in. She cleaned only a few spots but missed eveeything important.... there was black mold on the cealing in the bathroom and yellow pee stains on the pillows and bed cover...... extremly gross...overall we were very unhappy with our stay and wish we would have known it was gonna be this was we qould have went somewhere else..... veey disappointed!! This review is very disheartening, our managers went above and beyond to make your accommodations comfortable. We gladly moved you into another room and gave you a refund on our behalf for your first nights stay. You walked through the second room with our housekeeping staff and the manger to make sure everything was satisfactory for you and you said the room looked great and it was to your satisfactory. We have countless reviews on how clean our rooms are and we are very proud of our housekeeping staff and how hard they work to make things clean and sanitized. We take care of our guests, we communicate with our guests and we listen. You said that you loved this motel and loved how we do so much to make guests comfortable and that you would definitely be coming back. This is a very disheartening review.

Hi Kathrine,This motel has been around for about 50 years. As the newest owners, we started a room-by-room renovation project in 2023 that will take us into 2024. Our hope is that by the end of next year, we have 75% (hopefully more ) of our rooms updated. Come back and stay with us if you are ever in the area again and let us know if we have made the right improvements. Thanks again.

Ive stayed here a couple times because of the location to Mt. Rainier entry, the rooms are old but semi updated. You can hear everything from every room including the hallway. Kind of feels like you’re a guest at a house. WiFi is good, parking is great. Location to restaurants is not convenient unless your driving to them. What I’m amazed at each time I’ve gone the front desk people are always so unfriendly. Its not a deal breaker, but they truly look and act like they hate you and their job. Friendliness upon entry and exit is easy to provide.

We don't have you staying with us on record Tina, we do not have hallways in our motel so you must be speaking of the wrong motel. There are two other motels in town that do have hallways. We are always courteous to our guests and welcoming. Where we are located is directly within walking distance to the local restaurants, so again, this does not match our motel property. Please be sure to double check on reviewing a business location before you post it.

Nice motel, very clean, and the staff very nice and polite. Only downside: The bed was not level. It was higher at the foot, seems to be the mattress. Otherwise, a good stay.

The area around the property felt questionable. The cleaning staff was nice enough and accomodating. The manager was OK, but a bit too talkative for weary travelers. the main problems we had were a shower that we couldn't get to work. We really wanted a shower after a long journey. We finally got it to work in the morning after a lot of pushing and pulling. The shower itself felt grimy. This is a very no frills place with no snacks, drinks or ice available. The room was depressing and our view consisted of rusted truck canopies. Our air conditioner was really noisy and there were lots of other strange noises that kept us awake.

It is unfortunate that you did not have a pleasant stay with us. Our housekeeping staff is trained to do the best in cleaning all of our rooms including the room that you stayed in. Our showers, walls, furniture, light fixtures, filters, all get thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. We gladly answered all your questions during check in when you asked what there was to do in Chewelah and places to eat. All of our showers work properly, never have any complaints or problems, perhaps if you had come over we could have showed you how to work the shower if you needed the help. We are very proud of our newly renovated rooms, we have many local artists artwork displayed in each room. Unfortunately, our three motels in town do not have snack vending machines, ice machines, etc. like larger cities do, more like the ones you may be used to staying in. As for our neighboring property owner, we can only do so much. We wished you could have addressed these concerns that you had before you checked out, that is what our office staff is here for. I really enjoyed my stay here. Room was good for the price and had a fridge, microwave, tv, internet, air conditioning. Staff was friendly, parking easy. The location is in town with a gas station, super market, pharmacy and a handful of great restaurants and coffee, all within walking distance.

Incredible value. You get a mini fridge coffee maker, good size does good size TV. This is more than you usually get in a motel six for less money. The staff is friendly and genuinely interested in making sure you have a good stay and enjoy the area.

Motel fit the Bill
Only needed a one night stay after golfing in a tournament at Chewelah Golf Course. The room was clean, bed comfortable. TV was hard to figure out, but maintenance did come to help fix the problem.
