Really nice hotel, I didn't use the pub or restaurant part, but the hotel was brilliant, can be a bit loud with the live singing etc in the centre which isn't far from the property, but I did know this would be the case, no issues at all, would recommend for sure.

Had a lovely visit the staff are friendly chatty and offer excellent service, the bar is clean and again friendly helpful staff, the restaurant is gorgeous and offers great choice of food, the food snd service are excellent. The room was large lots of space clean and comfortable. Fabulous place to stay in heart of everything facing the Cathedral, short walk to Chester Wall, short walk to lots of shops and restaurants.

Brilliant value and hospitality

Another fantastic stay at the Coach House. Room 5 is so spacious and excellent value for money compared to other hotels. Lovely bar and restaurant downstairs.

The property is perfectly situated in the heart of Chester, a couple of minutes to the Cathedral & the Chester Wall. All the shops, bars & restaurants are on your doorstep too! Breakfast was excellent, we had Full English & the quality was fantastic- Best sausage I’ve had!!!! Overall we would recommend staying here.

Excellent place to stay for a trip to Chester shopping. Everything on your doorstep. Great food and great 2 for 1 cocktails. The room was spacious and bed very comfortable. Car park behind a little pricy though.

I thought that The Coach House Inn is a wonderful place to stay. It is great value for money it’s perfectly located in the centre of Chester, all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfy and the food was wonderful. We stayed one night on Friday 2nd May to Saturday 3rd May and we will definitely be staying there again. I think we have found our ideal place to stay when we are visiting Chester. The food in the restaurant in the evening was beautiful and we also got a half price bottle of wine when we eat there which was a lovely bonus. In the morning we had a wonderful breakfast that kept me going for the day. We stayed as a couple and me and my wife would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Chester.

Lovely old building, right in the centre of Chester. Room nice and large, overlooking the square. Staff all very polite and friendly. Food very good. We really enjoyed our stay.

Was in Chester for a stop over for the night. Although the pub was nice and food good. I thought the upper halls and room could have been a bit cleaner. Stair carpets cleaned and dust on the paintings cleaned. Mattress on the beds was one of the main things to let it down. Could do with changing. It was like sleeping on a pile of potatoes.

The people in this hotel are incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a very busy and popular section of town and we arrived on a Friday night so the atmosphere was lively which was fun but a little noisy when it came time for sleep. Other than that we had a wonderful experience and would come back in a heartbeat!

Perfect break

What an amazing hotel - beautiful room with a view of the cathedral, extremely helpful staff, A++ breakfast, and everything on your doorstep! Oh, and I would definitely recommend a meal at the nearby Italian, Ristorante Sergio - hidden at the side of the Cathedral. What a find!

Lovely big room with more than enough space for 3 adults, 3 separate beds were set up as requested, despite the pub being really busy when we arrived once you got up to the room you could not hear anything from downstairs. My only issue would be the lighting near the mirrors wasn't great so we had to take turns in the bathroom mirror while doing make up :) Would definitely book again, great location.

The room was spacious and warm, and the whole place was well run. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Food downstairs is great, including cooked breakfasts. It can be a little noisy at dinner time, but it doesnt go late. Nothing you wouldn't expect from having a room above a pub. It's more atmospheric than annoying. The hotel is set right in the middle of everything. Easy walking to all the sites and stones throw from the beautiful cathedral. Excellent quality for a good price. Highly recommend.
