"Nice clean and quiet room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The Red Owl Inn and its staff were great. The prostitutes standing around in front of this hotel (and most every hotel in Philadelphia) were too much."

"This hotel is historic; many things just felt outdated. The bathroom ceiling had stains, and one of the elevators seemed to struggle to reach each floor. Noise was the biggest issue. A conference was happening during my stay, and a large group of attendees gathered outside the hotel late at night, talking and laughing loudly around 11:45 p.m. for over an hour. Inside, the walls are thin enough that you can hear conversations from the next room. On top of that, guests letting their doors slam created extremely loud bangs — not ideal when it’s 2 a.m. and you’re trying to sleep. The hotel really needs to enforce quiet hours or implement better noise control. On the positive side, the front desk staff were very helpful. I didn’t try the hotel restaurant, but the grab‑and‑go area felt overpriced. Overall, I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect a reasonable level of comfort and rest — and unfortunately, this stay didn’t deliver that."

"Terry is very professional and accommodating she works.very hard and it shows it in her work. I went to the front desk found stool stains near the bed, and near the desk remote control to the TV did not work,duct tape around aircondition unit, bathroom tube someone sprayed paint the tub paint chipping and hanging hooks on door and wall barely hanging on, mattress worn out every time you move made noises springs"

"Beautiful hotel, nice views of the river and New Jersey. Staff was amazing, very old architecture vibes . Perfect spot for food and bars and great walking distance to a lot! 100% Will visit again. Only thing is the room did need a mirror besides the one in the bathroom. Be careful where you park tho, Philly will tow! Haha but that was a mistake on the city not the hotel. They all were amazing!"
