Disliked: Staff & service
My trip was to watch baseball with my grandson and his club team from University of Tennessee. He had an emailed confirmation and signed contract but was told by desk clerk he would have to speak with the person who provided the contract. As it happened-the staff member was not working on check-in day. The clerk flatly told him that the 9 rooms he had both confirmed and had the signed email contract. I asked for a manager and he said there wasn’t one. After several tense minutes(around 15) that he had spoken with Megan Orr and proceeded to scan room keys for the team. He never apologized for any inconvenience nor did he say thank you for staying there upon our departure. On top of this- at 11:30 or so the fire alarm went off. I called the front desk asking what was going on and was told they thought someone had pulled a fire alarm. In fact- a dryer had caught on fire on the floor below mine. Everyone made their way out without any communication from anyone on staff at the property. Very lackluster service. Training needs to be looked into. Especially when it involves possible evacuation in an emergency.
