It was fun meeting other people and the communal areas were comfortable and set up for that. It was nice having access to a refrigerator, ice, and filtered water. The food was very fresh. The breakfasts were interesting and it would have been easier if we had had some simpler choices rather than the elaborate dishes that were served.
This was a beautiful property in a excellent country setting! I can’t speak highly enough about the phenomenal breakfast and the customer service. We will definitely be revisiting this B&B.
This was a great B&B! The hosts were wonderful and the location was amazing. The house and our room was fantastic. We would definitely recommend this property to others. The breakfasts were wonderful. If you like B&Bs stay at this one!
The innkeepers were very firendly and prepared amazing breakfasts that were fluten free when requested. The inn is inviting comfortable, only a few minutes from a wonderful part of the national park with hiking, tubing, etc. We are very glad we came.
We stayed here while we were visiting the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. We arrived in the evening, after check-in time, so they left an envelope at the door with all the information to access our room. Everything was perfect and breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday mornings was amazing. We loved it.
The Inn was very quaint and homey. Toni was very welcoming and the food was excellent! Our room was decorated very authentic, however, the room and the attached bath were very small. Loved the location as it was very quiet and had many spots to sit and enjoy nature, including the rooster, and it's just a few minutes from town. I highly recommend the Folkestone Inn.
Toni was an amazing host. The bed and breakfast is quiet and peaceful. Very clean. Breakfast each morning was delicious. Sitting on the porch in the evening listening to the birds was relaxing. Extremely close to entrance to the smoky mountains.
Folkestone Inn is a wonderful B&B in a country setting and serves creative breakfasts - including fresh eggs from their own chickens! Toni and Scott are terrific hosts - very knowledgeable about the area and eager to point out things to do and places to see - giving tips about what's good or what might be better. Scott and Toni (both professional chefs) supplied a list of recommended area restaurants, as well. The other guests were from around the world and we loved getting to know them. The house was very clean with a rustic décor. All the best of a B&B vacation. Would definitely return if we visited the area again. One caution - there are steps to and inside the house.
We had a wonderful and relaxing time here. This b&b is tucked away from the hustle of town while still being conveniently located.
The grounds are lovely to walk around, and we enjoyed seeing the various animals that live nearby. Toni is a wonderful host to the guests and really made all the difference in our stay. The breakfasts were hearty and delicious. We never left hungry and you could really tell that everything was very fresh. Another visitor was vegan and was accommodated, which I felt was considerate.
I felt at home here, I felt welcomed and I didn't want to check out. We had the Stems and Petals room and enjoyed the tucked away location and patio.
I hope to visit again, thanks Toni.
My adult son and I,were joined by my brother-in-law spent 2 nights in the Folkstone Inn B&B. Added brother-in-law last minute. Comfort and conditions were a tight for 3 adults, but service, breakfast, and location was excellent.
Very peaceful, clean, comfortable and the inn keeper was a very nice and respectful lady. The breakfast was always delicious and served promptly and was always very neatly served. This is a very quaint and private Inn, we highly recommend it. Thanks Folkestone Inn keepers for this amazing experience
An amazing and relaxing stay, as always, at the Folkestone Inn! This is our third time at the Inn. The cleanliness, grounds, and breakfast are the best attributes of this Quaint and beautiful inn! The owners are so kind and there are so many wonderful things to do just a couple of miles away. This Inn is within a few miles of the smoky mountains national forest and the great smoky mountain railway! The food is delicious in the rooms are precious!!
A lovely historic inn in a bucolic setting, rocking chairs on the porch, cows in the pasture, and chickens free ranging in the yard.
Breakfast was a joy with homemade sausages and bacon, and eggs from the chickens. Every breakfast was something new and delicious--a five star presentation.
I would love to return, but if you have mobility issues this is not the place to visit. The pathway to the inn was rocky
and uneven slate, many stairs ( if you get a room upstairs even more steps). no grab bars in the bathroom and a flimsy scatter rug that could be a fall hazard. If mobility is not an issue then this place gets high marks.
Room was cute and clean. Food was DELICIOUS!! Grounds were fun - creek and chickens running through property. Had me hooked at cookies out every night.
Nice house, quiet. Toni is very friendly and serves up an excellent breakfast. House is easy to find and has ample parking.
What didn't work for us was this is NOT an "accessible" facility. There are steep steps to the house and the claw foot tub, though pretty, was hard to use with no wall for balance.
We enjoyed our sleeping accommodations. The bed and pillows were very comfy! The property felt safe and secure. We requested vegan meal options and chef Scott didn’t disappoint! Not having televisions on site allowed us to enjoy the beautiful nature offered by the Great Smokey Mountains.
