A great property and excellent location too Used to be one of the best in the 80s Need some renovation for sure. But fantastic furniture spacious rooms (heritage) all rooms overlooking the pool nice gym good bar and restaurant with good food and staff. I heard that the furniture mirrors etc used to be owned by the Mysore maharaja

Stay was excellent. Staff are very well trained and professional. Food was scrumptious at the restaurant. Breakfast was good and the rooms are huge. It is a heritage hotel but worth the stay. Will recommend to others.

Front office and breakfast buffet staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast buffet area should have proper ventilation because after our breakfast ours clothes smelled off oil fumes. Shout out to bell boy RAVIKUMAR.

STAY AT AMBASSADOR PALLAVA, EGMORE

I expect some extended hours of free stay and change the time at least upto 2 pm since the job I have come may go few hours extra and then to return to Airport. So many hotels nearby are offering this and to prefer this Hotel for my future stay.

Staff extremely hospitable and courteous. Complimentary morning breakfast was pleasing. WiFi was choppy and not reliable. Out of 12 day stay, internet was out for a full day, and quite disappointing and inconvenient.

I stayed 7 days on and off for couple of weeks. If you are planning to dine out every day for dinner then there are only couple of places around to dine. You need to use uber for any transportation. 5 minutes walk to museum and art gallery, entrance fee is 250 rupees for foreigners.Juice place, Dominoes and medical store is around the corner of the hotel.

Entren var fin. Personalen var tillmötesgående. Poolen och solstolarna bar fint. Sängarna bekväma. Frukosten bra. Hotellet har problem med vatten. Balkongen var fotbad och vattnet tränger in i rummet. När man hoppar på golvet närmast balkongen så skvätter det upp vatten och golvet är fuktskadat. Allt i resväskan blev fuktigt. Handukar torkade inte.

I was little late for my arrival due to delay in flight. When i had called up the hotel. The staff were so polite to take the message and confirmed. Upon my arrival all docs were ready and just need to sign. Room was nice and comfortable. Only issue the view area from window was to the aircon unit. No view to anything else

As everyone says, it is an older hotel, which has its plusses and minuses. They have nice art around the hotel and in the rooms. Lots of real wood items unlike in newer hotels. On the other hand, the maintenance needs much improvement. More cleaning is needed of some of the art items which are showing signs of mold. The management and staff are not at the level of top hotels. Looks like they havent really had any hospitality training. This one guy managing the reception desk was abrasive and had no place being in that position. Breakfast was good. If they put some money into refurbishment and improved cleaning, this could be a top hotel once again.

Extremely Unprofessional Staff, No Accountability from Management – A Disgrace to the Hotel Industry I had one of the worst hotel experiences at Ambassador Pallava, Chennai on April 15. During my visit to the bar, a man (appeared to be a supervisor) was aggressively yelling at staff in a manner that was completely unfit for any professional environment. The atmosphere was hostile and uncomfortable for every guest present. When I politely asked him to calm down, he became even more aggressive. Shockingly, a staff member pleaded with me not to interfere, clearly out of fear. I immediately sent a detailed complaint to the official email addresses listed on their website . I received no response. I then submitted the same complaint through their online contact form. Still no response. This level of apathy from hotel management is disgraceful and unacceptable. Either the hotel does not care about guest safety and dignity, or the person involved is a known rowdy whom even the management is afraid to confront. For a place that calls itself a 4-star hotel with historical significance, this behavior is shameful. I now understand why guests quietly stop coming back—this place lacks basic hospitality standards and accountability. If you value your peace, dignity, and customer service, avoid this hotel at all costs. There are far better hotels in Chennai where respect and professionalism still exist.
