Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you're well organized. We've put together a list of handy travel tips that will get your Tsivlos vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a cruisy experience if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, leave space in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a Swiss Army knife hiding in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive substances, such as bleach and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by layering up, and opt for flat, easy-to-remove shoes like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Wander around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
