Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Sidney could be a piece of cake or it could drag on forever. We've put together some useful travel tips that will help you start your next unforgettable escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having a stress-free flight experience is to pack in advance. First up, the essentials: passport, boarding pass, credit cards and daily medications. Next, bring on board items that'll help keep you entertained, like your laptop or a good book. You'll also want to bring your chargers, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. And of course, don't forget to squeeze in toiletries like a toothbrush, lip balm and a fresh set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to be as comfortable as you can. Choose slip-on footwear, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and don't forget to bring a sweater in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To reduce your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression tights or socks and keep your feet and legs moving.
