• You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks and keep your feet and legs moving.

• Have your travel documents and passport within easy reach. They'll be the first things you'll be asked to present to security.
