We've pulled together all the info you need to make your journey a pleasant experience. Follow our tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and enjoying Kullu in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a great experience if you bring the right things. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean pair of socks and a magazine or two. Next, leave space in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your important medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, remember to take your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a sharp object lurking in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive goods, such as bleach and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and pick shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
