Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've prepared well. We've put together a list of handy tips that will help get your Dinosaur vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right things. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare set of clothes and a good novel. Next, make room in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any daily medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a pocket knife hiding in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable substances, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and choose shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to take on and off.
- Caused by sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers on long-distance flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your lower limbs moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
