Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Assay could be a breeze or it could drag on forever. We've compiled some useful hints that will help you start your next great adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a great experience if you've got all the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare change of clothes and a good book. Next, make room in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any medications and maybe a neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and strong acids, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and go for shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
