Nice place to visit during the warmer months of the year, and often overlooked by tourists. It's a 5 minute walk from the town's main street. It's a short bus journey from České Budějovice.

Chateau Hluboká

This castle is considered as one of the most beautiful in Czech republic. Originally a gothic Royal castle built in 13th century during reign of king Premysl Otakar II, rebuilt in rennaisance and baroque style until getting its current Neogothic appearance from 1841-71 after Windsor castle example. The Neogothic Chateau belonged to Counts of Schwarzenberg until 1947 when it was confiscated and nationalized. There is a nice big surrounding English park. The chateau is opened to public and counts as one of the most visited in our country.
