The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Ming at check-in and Brandon, on the desk the day we were leaving, who kindly allowed us to check out late so that my wife could see the end of the men's final of the French Open.
The hotel was clean and seems fairly new. The lobby was attractive, with a spiral staircase circling around a large statue of a peacock.
However, there are a couple of things I consider negatives. First, the driveway at the entrance is short, and there is no porte-cochere. Pickup and dropoff is awkward. Second, our room was (1) quite small, with little floor space left by the bed, and (2) decorated in a Spartan fashion, with very dark walls and only a narrow bench with cushions along part of one wall instead of an armchair - no desk. Weird.
I suggest the hotel be renamed the Hyatt Eccentric.
