We visited from out of state and since the name is ‘downtown’ we expected it to be closer to the main downtown tourist area but the view was incredible! The only negative I felt was the restaurant doesn’t serve lunch. There was severe weather one day and we were stuck in the room and not having lunch options other than overpriced snacks was frustrating. Other than that I highly recommend this hotel.

We had booked a room with water view and balcony. When we got there we were shown a room overlooking the AC units and told we rooms we booked with Expedia was not available but if it was it would be $900! Not so, I went to Hilton's website and found the view/balcony room available for $389. What's up??

Hotel lost internet connection thus no Wifi from one afternoon until check out the next day. All computers (even check in desk) were down. Ice machines were empty. Bathroom shower and ceiling had black mold.

The room was clean, a little dated; shower door leaked. The balcony waterfront view room had a wonderful view of Ashley River and was the best part of the stay there. Breakfast buffet a bit pricey for what it was and who needs a waiter to hand you a plate and put the bill on the table? But, yes a reason for a tip. This room was over $850 for two nights, can’t really say it was worth it.

I found everything to be great however I feel robed at paying such a high rate for a water view room with a balcony for one night during the week on a Tuesday. The room we got looked over a building with a messy back deck hidden from site at ground level but fully in view from our room . We had to look at the water from the side of the building and right next to highways that pass by the building previously mentioned . Whmyoayo g such a price we expect water view to be water view. A great location excellent parking but just too expensive for us to return.

There were no shuttles downtown, the garage parking leaked in the rain even though the car was underneath. Upon check-in staff took too long to resolve a mistake on the type of room I was given putting the blame on Expedia. We were highly disappointed after driving so many hours to get there and get a room with one bed instead of 2.

The front desk staff was most excellent. The only issue was on the 2nd day of our stay the door key wouldn't work. After several trips to the front desk, they had someone from maint. to trouble shoot the problem. He was able to get the door open and discovered the batteries were failing. He replaced them and the keys worked properly. We ended up waiting around 30 mins to get inside our room. The front desk gave us gift card to use at the restaurant. Other than that, there were no other issues.

The team was truly excellent—warm and hospitable. We told them we were celebrating and they took fantastic care of us. Great parking options. However the hotel itself has some issues. The doors aren’t well done and you can very clearly hear conversations from the corridor. The bed was very uncomfortable.

Overall, this was a very nice stay. Appreciated the fact the parking was secure and free as opposed to some of the other nearby hotels. Quite an easy drive from the hotel to downtown Charleston. The only drawback was the room could’ve used a little maintenance. Some of the wallpaper was peeling and there was paint splatter on what appeared to be new tile in the bathroom. But I guess that’s what you get when you get a pet friendly room. Just grateful that we could bring our four-legged family with us.

The staff is super friendly and accommodating. There were some guests in front of me that had gave them a good run for their money with unusually demanding requests and theu handled.it spectacularly. The hotel is in a good location. Close to downtown but within a quick uber ride away. The free parking garage is amazing. The hotel is clean, well-appointed and restaurant is good for breakfast and dinner. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Charleston

The facility and view was amazing! Beautiful view of the harbor! Some of the staff members were very accommodating, but a few were actually kind of dismissive! Overall, we had a good time.

Not worth the price
The location is the best thing this hotel has going for it - it's right on the waterfront and super close to downtown. Unfortunately they seem to have neglected this hotel and it is in need of a lot of upgrades and maintenance. For what we paid per night ($380), it's pretty beat up and probably not somewhere I will stay again.
