Very old, we expected that. Friendly front office lady. Animal friendly. Clean but was in need of many repairs. Heater worked well, but unable to open the window for fresh air. For the price, we made it work for a quick stop over and hot shower.

The property is in need of an update but the most important thing was that it is clean. The lady on reception was welcoming and friendly - she seemed to do pretty much everything around the property. A very good stay, thank you.

It is a hidden gem of motel. Our hikes was at Stanley and stay at Stanley was 350 per night . This place was only 100. Dining options was great around . Room was clean and beds comfortable. Lisa at front desk was sweetest and friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place.

Great place to stay

I really like non-major chain hotels. They tend to be cleaner and more inviting. The place is old but kept up and clean corner to corner. I will highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again!

I really liked this place, comfortable beds, clean rooms and shower. There was no coffee maker however, and I need my coffee in the morning! Challis is a quiet town and this hotel was perfect for our one-night stay.

This is an older motel. Room was nice. We stayed there when it was pretty cold, and the heater did a great job of warming the room but was very loud. The mattresses on the beds are quite old. Not very comfortable. Everything was clean. An OK place to stay for a night, but keep expectations on the lower side.

Broken down vehicle in lot. Air conditioning not working well. Whole facility needs updating with water stains on ceiling, peeling paint on outside of building. Shower curtain looks like it's 10yrs old with stains. Staff was nice.

The hotel is about 33 years old. And nothing has ben upgraded so far. The qualification of the staff is pur.

It was unfortunate, but apparently 2 housekeepers walked out the day before our stay. We came to check in at check-in time, told no rooms we ready and to come back in 2 hours. We did, needed to wait 20 more minutes. Had to come back and forth to the room 3 times before I got the right key to get into the room. Knob did lock, deadbolt was broken. Really run down place. Our room had basic cleanliness. Ice maker in the lobby was the best ever. Ground level window in our room with a huge crack, curtains full of holes. There was never a person at the desk, you had to call a listed personal cell to check in, ask a question, etc. Community kitchen area with fresh coffee 1st morning, 2nd morning nothing. Microwave in communal kitchen area gross. The manager apparently just took over and was handed a mess on a busy travel weekend. Where was the owner? How could they just leave her there to deal with a sold out motel with all rooms booked and staff who walked out?

Indoor Camping

This place is like indoor camping. Yeah....there was a bed and a bathroom, but it's all very rustic. It's a good thing the ONLY lamp has a 25-watt lightbulb---all the better to obscure what you've gotten yourself into. The HVAC is impossibly finicky. All the interior appointments are worn out. This place is straight out of 1980 and hasn't seen a dime of renovation since it was originally constructed.

The microwave had food spills in it, the ice bucket and cup inside it looked like a soda had exploded so there were stains and drops in there splattered a bit, the bathroom mirror had spots all over it like it needed to be sprayed with cleaner. The beds were comfy and pillows were good though and the gal at the front was so nice and sweet.
