Votre hôtesse d’accueil a oublié de nous rendre notre clef de voiture heureusement ou malheureusement nous avions un double de clef. Nous nous sommes rendu compte après 250 km ! "Seamless check in - polite & v pleasant staff member on reception who gave us information & directions with regard to charging the car & places to eat as it was a Sunday night & not many places open. Excellent large room ideal for us travelling with our dog. Dog bowls & toy also provided in the room which was a nice touch along with a complimentary bottle of water & well stocked coffee & tea facilities. Good to have the green tea option too which is often missed. Room was comfortable - the only slight negativity was the air conditioning which did little to cool down the room but it was a minor thing. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel but it was on offer. Would definitely stay here again. "

"Comfortable beds. Ideal for one night stop over. Very basic. No frills. Cheap Bathroom and general decoration tired. Mould on bathroom ceiling, leaking shower, air con not great. Staff spoke very little English but we managed to communicate. Staff were friendly. Get what you pay for."

"The Hotel Les Saules is a wonderful hotel that is a must for that trip away for any reason. The staff are personable and welcoming; very professional. Vonnas is this beautiful little town in France that is a hot bed of culinary excellence and the gem of the hospitality industry. Our room was lovely and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean and well thought out. Our room looked out over the square of the town which also served as the parking lot for everything, yet it was part of the park. We had a balcony where you could order breakfast, but don't do that. Go to the breakfast they have at their neighboring restaurant. It must be a training ground for the next set of Michelin star chefs. The food was beyond amazing. It was not overpriced and worth every penny that you pay. Everything is fresh and delicious. NOTE: Make reservations in their restaurant in advance especially during the summer season. There are two types of services: the restaurant and the Food Tasting Menu. The restaurant is ala carte and the Food Tasting Menu is expensive, but if you are a foodie, this is your moment of joy. RESERVATIONS for either are a must. Everything is close by and quaint. Definitely a highlight of our stays."
