"My wife became sick during our stay. The staff was incredible from the late night guards who helped me with new bed linens at 3:30 am to the girl working the front desk who helped me with a taxi to the pharmacy for meds. The wait staff in the restaraunt prepared tea for my wife. I cant say enough good things about this hotel. Thank you so much for all your help"

"Everything about this place is excellent! From super clean rooms with fresh smelling sheets/pillows, a fan in the room which helps with some relief from the desert heat, the food from the restaurant is a fair price and absolutely delicious! We had more than one excellent conversation with Eduardo about local history, spirituality, and about our home country Canada 🇨🇦 I absolutely recommend renting the gear to try your hand at sandboarding if you are able as it is a beyond exhilarating experience! Everything in Huacachina is accessible by foot and super close for walking distance since it really is a small desert oasis town. We spent our days hiding from the heat at a nearby pool as a lot of the local businesses that have one offer day passes or you simply just need to purchase something from their attached restaurants to gain access to the pool ☺️ As young female travellers we felt beyond safe and are already planning our next trip to Peru to visit this hidden gem and try our hand at sandboarding! (After a lil more practice snowboarding back home 😂)"

"Tuve una muy buena experiencia en Viajero Huacachina. El hostal es súper lindo, las habitaciones son cómodas, limpias y bien mantenidas. El ambiente en general es muy agradable y el staff es muy cordial y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Además, la ubicación es excelente, y la comida del restaurante es muy muy rica. Lo único a tener en cuenta es que, si no te gusta mucho la fiesta o eres sensible al ruido, los fines de semana puede ser un poco ruidoso porque el hostal tiene un ambiente bastante animado y la música suele ir hasta alrededor de las 2 a.m. Pero si te gusta el ambiente social y divertido, definitivamente es un gran lugar para quedarse."

"L'accueil courtois mais pas chaleureux, petit plus pour le personnel du petit déjeuner -elles étaient adorables - la chambre spacieuse et simple, mais nuit horrible ! Pas de climatisation mais un simple ventilateur qui brasse de l'air chaud donc obligée de laisser la fenêtre ouverte ! Bruit de la rue incessant, moustiques et pour couronner le tout un réveil à 6h par les marchands ambulants qui mettent la musique à fond !! Au final mauvaise nuit, pas du tout reposés pour entamer un périple de plusieurs jours dans le sud du Pérou ! Je ne recommande pas la chambre au RDC !!"

"As our first hostel rental, our experience at Bananas Adventure Hostel was more than expected for an overnight stay! From the beginning, Bananas Adventure staff were welcoming and accommodating, despite our late check in. The ambiance was a perfect balance between calm and lively, while the location allowed us easy access for a quick hike to the top of the dunes! During our stay we encountered major interruptions to our itinerary and had spent hours replanning the next leg of our trip. Bananas Adventure Hostel provided luggage storage after check out and they let us stay on premises-the front desk was more than kind to help us translate and find solutions. We are forever grateful. Thank you for your hospitality and compassion! Definitely would recommend! "

"The staff was courteous and helpful but the water wasn’t really hot in the shower, there are no screens on the windows, there was loud music from the restaurant I had to request to be turned down, there were leaves and a dead bug in the shower. It was just a lot to pay for not what I would expect."

"I don't normally do bad reviews and stay in hotels around 30/40 nights a year. Other than the location and pool this experience was very poor. The WiFi is not suitable for video calls or streaming. The Aircon doesn't lower the temperature effectively at all which for a hot place makes sleeping very hard. The water is a trickle and doesn't run hot which is okay after a hot day in the dunes but reflects poorly on the hotel. When arriving and paying by card a 5% fee is levied which isn't written anywhere. They rushed us out of our room and charged us 20 soles for the extra hour we were there despite it not being busy. They wouldn't even let us stay by the pool after checking out even though it wasn't busy."
