Top Central United States Hotel Reviews

Hyatt Regency O'Hare Chicago
10/10 Excellent
"Very convenient ... close to Ohare, free shuttle."

Hotel Riu Plaza Chicago
8/10 Good
"RIU is a beautiful and modern hotel with very helpful staff and an excellent breakfast buffet. The rooms were clean and pretty. Our only concerns were these: The only restaurant on the property is a rooftop bar with small plates that are not kid friendly, and because it’s a rooftop bar, it’s only available when the weather is good. Our shower did not drain. There is no ice machine or any other vending on the property. There is no sundries shop/store on the property. The room does not have a microwave. Our bathroom door did not lock nor, was there any bathroom vent/fan. For being only two years old, the hotel really should have better television options, including streaming services. Watch out – many of the general hotel/reservation websites show this location is having a “rooftop pool,” but it does not have any pool."

Magnolia Hotel Dallas Downtown
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was ok. But the air conditioning barely worked. I was on the 15th floor. It stayed warm no matter how you turned the cooling temperature up. We woke up in sweat both nights."

Kozy Hotel Dallas DFW Airport Area West
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel had only been open about a month when we stayed, and it seemed only the 5th floor was in use while the others were being remodeled. Despite this, we heard no construction noise at all! The rooms were clean, modern, and everything seemed brand new. There’s a nice common area, which worked well for my remote meetings, and the complimentary breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable, and parking was easy with plenty of spaces. The 64" TV was a nice bonus for watching games. The pool was also available for use. Tyler was amazing—very helpful and quick to bring extra blankets when we needed them. The only downsides were that the light next to the TV wouldn’t turn off (or we couldn’t figure it out), and there was no phone in the room, so we had to call the front desk from our cell. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel."

Moody Gardens Hotel, Spa and Convention Center
10/10 Excellent
"Hotel was very nice. We enjoyed our time there. Can't wait to visit again. "

Margaritaville Beach Resort South Padre Island
8/10 Good
"Loved the location! Some restaurants within walking distance and the beach access was perfect. You can also rent umbrellas/chairs/boogie boards at the resort, so you don’t need to bring your own. Nice resort with a decent sized pool and swim up bar. Delicious margaritas! We enjoyed Landshark grill, although the service is slower if you’re on the patio. Clean rooms serviced everyday. The cleaning crew would either come too early in the morning or too late in the afternoon, so that was a bit of an inconvenience, but we enjoyed getting clean towels every day. I wish our room had a kitchenette and more storage space for clothes, they have 1 dresser with 3 smalls drawers in their king sized room w partial ocean view. We stayed 8 days and the room was kind of small for the 2 of us. Overall enjoyed our stay here but will probably check out a different resort next time. We spent a decent amount of money on our room, I think you can get more from a different resort for the same price."

Hilton Chicago/Magnificent Mile Suites
8/10 Good
"Location was great. Everything at the hotel from checkin to chef out was very smooth."

InterContinental New Orleans by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Staff clean room really accessible"

Congress Plaza Hotel
8/10 Good
"The hotel is a bit run down, but my room was very clean. The breakfast was good, although it is not included, and for some reason I thought it was. The receptionist was amazing. She was very kind and allowed me to check in early, which I really appreciated. The location is also excellent. I’m giving 4 stars because, as a female solo traveler, I did not feel completely safe. The reception desk is not close to the entrance. There is one person near the entrance, but if he is busy, he may not be able to see everyone coming in and out. The hallways are long, and I did not notice much visible surveillance or security. Overall, I had a good stay, but I think the hotel could improve safety and security for guests."
