「This is our second stay at Hacienda Cucuyo. It is such a hidden gem overlooking Samaná Bay. It has a limited occupancy which makes it perfect for a retreat style stay. It is quiet, comfortable, and very connected experience. Daniela is an absolutely terrific hostess! She welcomed us warmly and is the perfect host as is Victor and the rest of the staff. 「No water in the toilet l ask for fixing the problem several hours after I came back and nobody did nothing. I paid the hotel with my credit card through Expedia, when I arrived to checking they asked me to pay in cash, they didn’t accept credit card.」

「The hotel is clean and the staff are great, but the pictures posted of the location must be from several years ago. The pool and hot tub are run down and there was only one lounge chair (old but still working) and a few plastic lawn chairs and tables around the pool. The hot tub was full of sand and was not working and the pool had a garden hose running into it each day to top the water up. 「We had a lovely stay at this charming Colonial style beachfront hotel. A highlight was also the charming restaurant which had many vegetarian and vegan options which can be hard to find in this region. Our room was spacious as well aa the terrace with lovely waterfront views. Highly recommend to anyone considering this hotel.」
