"Just simple and very friendly"

"The room was clean but did see cobwebs behind the main door to the room, slightly dated decor for an executive room, standard of tiling in the bathroom wasn’t great for example, with no spar toilets paper rolls to be found, the ceiling fan was needed as the weather was warm but it could benefit from an AC unit, on a whole the hotel looked and felt nice and welcoming with happy and pleasant staff. We used the pool in the spa, which was ok, they do have a gym and other treatments but we didn’t use them so can’t comment, we also eat out for dinner and breakfast, so we didn’t get to sample the hotels menu or breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to others, it’s a nice quiet for us at time of visit, country farm style location spa retreat, with a modern ish to look at build complex, value for money."

"Pros: Excellent location – Perfect if you want to avoid driving into Cambridge city centre. Helpful housekeeping staff – The cleaning staff were friendly, polite and very helpful throughout our stay. Comfortable stay – The room was spacious and comfortable for the three of us. Cons: Poor mobile and Wi-Fi signal – There was no mobile signal inside the room and the Wi-Fi connection was extremely weak. We reported the issue to the front desk and although they rebooted the router, it did not resolve the problem. Disappointing breakfast – Our first day's breakfast experience was very poor. Breakfast is served until 9:30 a.m., and we arrived at 8:00 a.m., but most of the food had already run out. When we asked the staff, we received no assistance or explanation. In the end, we had to make do with bread and butter."

"Lovely old property on the edge of town. Front Desk staff on arrival were OK but not hugely communicative (morning team were much better). Same with the bar staff although the prices were pretty good. The room was old but clean and tidy. And HOT, although we were in a UK heatwave at the time. They do provide a fan which helped a bit. Overall a decent place to stay and would stay again if passing by that way again."
