This property was certainly appealing and the decor was lovely. The bed was comfortable, however we were only given 2 flat pillows and only 1 spare. The staff were very accomodating and helpful so I imagine if we had asked for another they would have found one. The check in instructions were really clear.
The room was clean - ish. The dressing table, chair, one of the towels and bath were all a bit dirty on arrival. We found that the hallway section of the room had many ants (20 ) on the wall, dragging a dead spider into the vents. This wasn’t very nice.
The bath was nice but took ages to fill up and while it did have a shower head this got a lot of water everywhere so perhaps a shower too would have been good or at least a curtain round the bath.
The breakfast was nice enough. It was cakes and an occasional yoghurt, with the option of cereal. Everything was kept out to help yourself between breakfast hours, but we noticed that the cake that wasn’t eaten on one day was brought back out again the following 2 days and was a bit stale.
The location of this property is amazing and only a 10 minute walk into Catania and to the main tourist areas, really close to great restaurants and bars. We could not fault this. It’s also only 10 mins walk from the train station. If you’re looking for a cheap and cheerful stay in Catania, this place is good.
