If you choose to stay here, you need to come with an open mind, ready to troubleshoot and refer to the instruction manual for everything. You also need to be comfortable following instructions and handling appliances (boiler, light panel, etc.). The boiler is terrible, so you either shower with cold water or risk getting burned. Note that the electricity key is attached to the keychain, so return with enough time to cool the unit. Communication with management is only between 9 AM and 6 PM. From 6 to 8 PM, it is only via phone call. Any emergency past this time, you're on your own. One evening, the lights shut off. We referred to the instruction manual, checked the breakers, and noticing they were in the proper position, we realized the key wasn't making good contact. We tried fixing the key, and it broke. We had no power overnight until it was fixed the following day. These people wanted to charge us for the repair. Unacceptable. We refused to pay. The elevator stinks and is so old that you better not risk it. Terrible experience. We do not recommend this place.

Great location in a very historic building! Wonderful tall ceilings, historic floor in the apartment. The street was quiet and accessible from the key sights in the city centre. Communication regarding check in and check out, as well as questions about our stay were answered very efficiently and kindly. Would recommend and stay again!

The authentic Italian apartment was amazing. Right across the street from a grocery store. Has 3 small balconies. Communication with the property owners has limited hours only to 6pm and then 8pm with customer service so with a 6hour time difference (during initial booking) it was a bit of a delay sometimes. Having said that they were very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this unit.

Our stay was amazing, Raffaele checked us in and was very helpful and has good English and also recommended some places to us. We were in the superior apartment which had plenty of room for the 4 of us, the apartment can accommodate up to 6. We were left some coffee and teabags which was nice. Everything you could possibly. need is there. The apartment is in Catania, it is in the heart of the city. We hired a car but would not recommend this if you are staying locally as the driving is erratic and dangerous and people just come from nowhere, also parking is difficult to find, It is was useful for us as we made day trips to Syracuse and other places. Beware at the tolls, as there are gypsies pretending to be working there, as we approached the tolls a young woman handed us the ticket which she took out of the machine and demanded 5 euros for this which we handed and only realised afterwards it was a con woman, you take your ticket yourself and pay at the other end 1 euro 20! This scam has been going on for over 10 years and aimed at tourists! Also there is a supermarket directly opposite the apartment which sells everything. We enjoyed our stay and the apartment made it for us as we also cooked, the kitchen has everything you need. There is a lift in the building for anyone who cannot manage stairs.

Very nice place to stay . Beautiful historic apartment . Well equipped , cleaned . Our host was very friendly, helpful, carrying. Best recommendations. :-) The area is very central with nice locals and family trattorias with delicious food .
