If you're not up to a full-day trek at altitude but you still want to get a taster of the spectacular landscapes to be found within the Huascaran National Park in central Peru, the stunning Pastoruri Glacier is the trip for you. It's the only glacier in the world accessible by road, and the base of it stands at 5050 metres above sea level. It's a short 1 hour hike from the car park (and another hour back), or you can hire a mule to save your legs (and your breath!) A really easy day trip from Huaraz, Peru. Due to climate change, the glacier is quickly melting with experts expecting all snow gone in less than 25 years. Go see it while you can!

Excellent and super kind staff with genuine desires to help! A group of us stayed here for many days and all had a great time. A restaurant in the hotel opens at 7 AM and closes at 10 PM serves very nice foods. Areas within 1.5 miles radius are full of excitements with all kinds of street vendors, ...
