Dear SureStay Management,
I am writing to express my disappointment following my recent stay at your Castlegar location. I visit Castlegar annually for work and, on this occasion, decided to bring my family along and try your hotel. We booked two rooms and were initially impressed by the friendly and helpful front desk staff upon check-in.
However, our experience the next morning in the breakfast area was very disappointing. My family and I (a group of six) arrived approximately 40 minutes before breakfast was scheduled to end. At that time, there were no eggs or sausages available. When we politely asked a female staff member if there would be a refill, she responded curtly that breakfast was ending soon and offered no further assistance.
What was particularly upsetting was the difference in attitude: while this staff member interacted pleasantly with other guests, she addressed my family with brief, unfriendly replies. This made us feel unwelcome and, as an ethnic minority, we could not help but feel that we were being treated differently.
This experience left a negative impression on both myself and my family. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend SureStay Castlegar to my colleagues or family members based on this visit.
I hope you will take this feedback seriously and address the staff conduct to ensure all guests are treated with respect and courtesy.
