My room was on the side of the building so it did get quite noisy with the main road and taxi rank outside. The Sky Bar upstairs was not open and I believe some of the bedrooms are closed for refurbishment. To be fair the hotel is located in a great spot close to many bars, restaurants and the beach.

Great stay at Hotel Carvoeiro. Room was large, clean, comfy bed, fridge etc. Had a street view room. A bit noisy on the saturday night but other nights fine. Being able to walk out the hotel and onto the beach steps away was amazing. It is a busy noisy area but thats what you get for being so close to everything. All staff where very friendly and helpful. As others mentioned breakfast options where very good and a great value. Overall a wonderful stay here and would definitely stay again. Absolutely recommend!

Great location - nice staff BUT bathroom is dangerous- if you are old, young kid, have a sore knee or back, a little blind - be careful as getting in and out of bath is difficult. Also very loud n noisy from street, normally quite from 11.30pm. Central to cafe n bars.

Comfortable but things can be improved

Our stay was generally OK. The room was spotless, beds very comfortable, and amenities great. However, we were disappointed to be given a ground-floor room, which wasn’t indicated at booking. When we asked to move to the first floor, we were told we’d have to pay the difference. We found this odd – we’ve never had that happen at any other hotel. The rooms didn’t seem that different in value, so we declined, but it left a strange impression. It also felt like booking through Hotels.com put us at a disadvantage. The ground floor was very noisy at night – double glazing helped, but more could be done. Parking is as bad as advertised, so plan ahead and park elsewhere. Overall, clean and comfortable – but that’s about it.
