My family and I were looking forward to our stay, and upon arrival, we were greeted with nothing but warmth and kindness from the hotel staff. Every interaction, from the front desk to the hallway pleasantries, was genuinely friendly and welcoming. It's for this reason that it's so difficult to write about the state of the room itself.
Unfortunately, the quality of our accommodation was a stark contrast to the quality of the service. As soon as we settled in, we began to notice a series of deeply concerning issues. The first thing we spotted were several live and dead bugs scattered throughout the room, which immediately set us on edge. The floor was marred by a number of conspicuous stains, suggesting a lack of deep cleaning.
The problems extended to the furniture, where metal components were showing visible signs of rust. However, the most alarming discoveries were in the bathroom. The toilet paper roll had no holder, a minor inconvenience that pointed to a larger lack of care. More disturbingly, the alcove where the toilet was situated had peeling paint chips and what appeared to be some sort of exposed, toxic-looking material. The thought of this substance potentially coming into contact with anyone, especially children, during use was horrifying.
The shower was another source of stress. It was clearly outdated, and operating it was a constant struggle. We had to continuously fiddle with the knobs to get a stable, warm temperature, making a relaxing shower impossible.
