The hotel staff provided excellent Customer Service from check in to check out, especially Carlos at the Restaurant on 12 for breakfast. He was attentive and made excellent suggestions to ensure our visit to Cartegena was maximized. The rooms were spacious and clean. The views of the beach and the bay were spectacular. The breakfast and snack offered many options daily. The only 2 cons were : 1) the shower leaked all over the floor when you used the hand shower. It is glass and for some reason has decorative gaps that should not exist in those spots. 2) The food at breakfast and snack were never hot. They were a tolerable warm but not hot.

This hotel was safe, clean, and had great amenities! Very friendly staff and an excellent restaurant. We had no complaints at all. One of our party had a health issue during our stay and the staff helped us get a doctor. Excellent value, would stay here again.

Very convenient location, bocogrande mall is right next door, old city about 7 min drive without traffic, beach in back yard . Staff & hotel is 10/10 always willing to help only complaint is the welcome watermelon drink needed to be on the menu

I’m not big on writing reviews but I must say the Hyatt Regency in Cartagena was one of the best I’ve stayed in. It’s beautiful inside and out, the staff is so polite and welcoming. From the minute you walk in they treat you with the upmost respect, while we were checking in a gentleman came over with refreshing drinks (a watermelon juice) that was delicious. We got there around 2pm and they had our room ready. We had a ocean view room and I must say it was spotless all around!! I was very impressed at the breakfast lounge, not only did they service American style breakfast but they also had Colombian breakfast. Rice, beans, meat, eggs any style, waffles, pancakes, different juices, yogurts, cereal, bread, pastries, etc… You can also order from a menu if you wanted a sandwich or omelette. This is what I would call a real continental breakfast. LENY our server at breakfast was the absolute best!! Right next to the Hyatt they have Bocagrande plaza which is a mall and you can find everything there or just take a short walk downtown or the Center. We walked all the way down to the Laguito and back shopping on the carrera 3 and spent our nights in the center. You absolutely can’t go wrong about the Hyatt in Cartagena!!! 5 stars for me

First time staying at this property and I was so impressed. Everyone is so professional the food at the restaurant is amazing. I had the executive suite which was huge and beautiful with the most amazing views. I felt so safe. They always made sure taxis were available. I felt spoiled at this hotel and will def come back.

This place was truly amazing. It exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious. Our favorite meal of the trip was the ceviche in the hotel restaurant. We will definitely recommend the Hyatt to our friends and family.

The stay was very pleasant and the staff was extremely attentive and friendly, but they cheated me with a room, I had Three reserved and they only gave me two without refunding the money for the third and no explanation at all.

The hotel was nice and very clean. All the staff was nice and friendly also. Room service and restaurant in hotel was the downfall food wasn’t good. If you’re like me that didn’t matter you can walk or take $4usd cab rides to some really good restaurants and for that reason I would stay there again. Pool was also very clean.

Unique is the view. Across from the Naval facility. View of the ships. What was not to like was someone drilling concrete doing a repair and it echoed forever all across the hotel. Other than that, this is a true 5 star gem. Love it!

Fantastic location close to all things Cartagena. The walled city is a 15 minute walk away and the beaches of Bocagrande start right outside the hotel. The staff is friendly and amazing and go above and beyond.

The hotel was amazing, however a few things need to be fixed : - our room phone was not working - no ice machine on our floor - no access to the ice machine on the bottom floor due to renovation and no access to the floor above - reading light was blinking ( they were able to fix that ) - The fridge in the room was not cooling enough.

Overall the property was beautiful but the surrounding area was ok. The hotel food offered variety and the taste was decent. My hiccup with staying here was the inconsistency in customer service. At check in the host told me no parties in the room and guests had to be in the lobby. But my best friend who checked in later did not receive the same speech that I did. On day 2 the hosts profiled one of my friends and demanded that he show his passport in order to get upstairs to visit with us. I asked me best friend if they received the same speech at check in about guests being in the lobby only and she said no. As a matter of fact our mutual friend who was profiled has already been to our rooms a few times over the 24 hours. So we were confused if the guests policy that I received was even a real thing. Lastly on my last day the hostess at the podium at the restaurant stopped me (only) and asked me my room number and explained the entire ordeal for how breakfast was setup. I was confused be I had already been to breakfast a few times over my 5 day stay. So I sat down and started my breakfast. My best friend meets me and I asked her if the hostess gave her a speech and she said no. She just walked right in like we had been doing all weekend. So I will tell anyone thinking of staying here that if you look like Gabrielle Union and Dawayne Wade, you will receive questionable service. If you look like Boris Kudjoe and Nicole Parker then you will be treated excellently.
